I've been thinking about converting my rear turn signals to run, turn, brake lamps as a winter project.I cant seem to find any red lenses that are a direct fit for for the 98 tourer with two screws on the lens.anybody have ideas for lenses to fit or other mods that get a red lens back there?

Easy solution to that, and you don't have to buy new lenses. Go to Walmart, in the model car/plane, etc. dept., and pick up a can of Testors Spray Enamel #1605, Transparent Candy Appel Red. Pull the amber lenses and clean the inside with some alcohol. Then give them a couple coats on the inside, wait a bit between each coat. Let dry overnight. You won't be able to tell they were ever amber. I used them like that for at least two years before changing out that entire ass'y. for a different set up. You can also go to a brighter bulb which adds to the impact....forget the number just now but you can get it off this chart.

i've never tried painting the stock lenses, but i did put red bulbs in one bike with the amber lenses.  it was ok.  on my valk now, i've got lenses that i bought off of a guy on ebay.  they were clear ones that he painted the inside of.  i'm really pleased with them.  he's almost always got some on there.
here's a link to the ones i bought.  if he doesn't have any on there, send him a message. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280382537073&viewitem=
