Agree, please let us know. Sherry and I looked over the new Wing last Saturday at a Honda dealership in Auburn, MA. It was the DCT model, which I'm not interested in. We'd love to hear from you.

I've had a Goldwing sense 2001 so I am used to the older wing.My dealer has a demo 2018 wing and let my ride for ass long ass I wanted,it was a 6 speed trany. The new trany shifts like butter but the clutch engages all the way at the top(I didn't like that) the biggest thing that I didn't like was wind protection, ass soon ass I got up to speed I had wind on my legs and arms.I raised the windshield all the way up on the highway and it helped my helmet from being pushed back ( I don't like to look through a windshield I like to look over the top). The bike felt harder to maneuver at slow speed.

If I was interested in the new Wing I would find a dealer that has a demo bike to ride first even if it has the DCT transmission.

For you people that are ridding Valks that are open to the wind might not b a big deal. angel

Thanks Ed for sharing your thoughts.  cooldude   Sure does look like less wind protection. I do agree that going from a non-Interstate Valkyrie to the new Wing might not big a big deal. We're used to the wind.

Cruiseman just released his first 2018 Gold Wing video of his new bike and confirmed the drone @ 65MPH in his video. He also has some gripes about fit and finish and can not fit his single HJC full face helmet in the trunk.

Excellent review. Thanks for posting.

I had a fit and finish issues on my Valkyrie, too. When I picked it up I saw that gas tank had a paint blemish. Pointed it out to the salesman and they ordered a new tank, which was installed within a month. I would hope that Honda makes it right for this guy, too. No way should you find fit and finish issues on a $30K MC.

Regarding the helmet not fitting in the truck, the reviewer stated that he thinks removing the Go-Pro mount on the top of the helmet would remedy that. I think that issue is probably the exception and not the norm.
