Visited Costco today and had a coupon for Mobil One oil.... 10.00 off coupon per case, stated it was only good for 5w 30 or 10w 30, but both of those were API "Energy Conserving".  But ......the Mobile One 15w 50 had no API "Energy Conserving" markings and I wasn't sure the coupon would be good for that.... but , when I got to the register, it was.  I got a 6qt case (2 cases actually) of Mobile One 15w 50 for like 14.99 a case.  Normally 24.99 a case.  Great deal.  The other weights were 33.99 a case and no 10w 40.

I believe it will work fine on the Valk or VTX,  (wet clutch applications)......   can anyone justify not using it???  Or have bad experiences with that oil?

When I bought the Valk, the tranny made noises like something was rattling around.  I changed the oil, and  used the Mobil 15-50w, and the noise reduced considerably.  Still using it, and so far no problems for me.  I'm sure others will have comments as well.  YMMV   reall great price BTW    Roll Eyes

I knew I should have gotten more than 2 cases...... Angry    Oh well, I have enough for 3 oil changes with just the Mobile 1 Undecided and got some AMSOIL and Rotella T as well.  I guess I'm set til the next sale or coupon.  Costco's normal price for that is 24.99 a case, which isn't bad anyhow.  Thanks for the encouraging info....  all I read was positive.
