Very interesting and an excellent use of a Drone.  I have not had my drone out for a few months now.  Will have to get at it again.

I find that interesting.  My only interface with cattle was, as I think I have said before, at my uncles place in PA.   He had a diary farm and we (my family) would visit him each August was I was young.  We would stay few days and that was when I would watch the process of milking and see the cattle.  It was interesting to watch them "walk" into the milking area.

Just memories.

Thoughtful and practical! Probably better than a vacuum cleaner!

Jess from VA

Tracy, there are bare children, and mothers bear children.   ;D

John, giving your mother a vacuum for Mothers Day is an old joke (or was in our house).

We had a good Hoover standup, but dad would always promise to get her a new vacuum for Mother's Day, and mom would always say if he did she would beat him with it.   :2funny:

RP#62

I used to tell my wife that when we get rich and famous, I'd get her a riding vacuum cleaner.

Now  that's  funny.....  :2funny:

I  had gotten Vacuums for various occasions ,
That stuff  isn't cheap anymore . I  have  gotten washing machines , dishwashers.
Power tools, tools, kitchen gadgets ..
Things  that are useful...
Hell my Wedding present from Don was a  nice  big  grey horse (Thor)
I  miss that horse..

Leave  it to Gen.Patton  to say words that are so deep..

General Patton also rescued  the Lipizzaner breed of horses during World War II.
The head of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Alois Podhajsky, asked Patton to protect the Lipizzan horses, fearing that the Germans would use them for pulling artillery and that refugees would slaughter and eat the rest !

Just think what the world  would  be like  with out such animals!

PS sorry the  size is  so big!

My good deed of the day , Saving a new born fawn,

it was tangled in the hog panel fence bleeting it's head off..Mum had jumped the fences.

Fawns hind leg didn't seem  mangled, so don't know how long it was stuck.

The fawn was able to toddle away once  I got it in to my field.

Also figured my field would be safer than Jason's.. After all still need to mow hay soon.

Mum was watching me the whole time. But she did run to my tree line.

I hope they can rejoin up. This makes up for the one I couldn't save a few yrs back.

OH MY GOSH , it is so cute, I really felt honored to save this  little ones soul..

But a  living soul is a soul..

Getting it up over the fence wasn't easy , once I freed the wee one. I had to handle it threw each hole in  the panel grid after another.

Till the top ,that was over my head , so used my shoulder and placed the front end there, as I used my other hand to get the caboose over..

That made  for  a good day !
So glad  I  opened  my gate  today and  early!
This  rescue never  would  have  happened.

That fawn probably thought an angel came along just in the nick of time.  Come to think of it, it sounds like that's exactly what happened!  Good on you!

I'm sure the closer you live to nature the more one finds a good balance with the animal world. I'm not vegan by any means but I brake for rabbits, squirrels, turtles, skunks and particularly deer.

LadyDraco

Thanks ...  :cooldude:
Turtles do get removed from a road if  it can be  done safely!

WOW it took me 1.5 hours to get the brush hog on this time! LOL and I still need to hook the pto on...

Of course it was in the sun so I'm wringing wet. Had to come in for a fast break and cool off.
Around 12:30 and  when back out to finish  hooking up and  greasing and  checking the  fluids  on the  Brush hog, and  set the  float..

It's only 75* but dang!

I came  back in @ 5:20
I brushhogged 1/3 of the big field.. Tomorrow is another day..
I had to refuel the tractor , so it seemed like a good idea to stop.
For the day , and  hop in the  shower.

How about a B&B for your farm?

Could make some money and even hire some to do menial work while you share the beauty and

surroundings with others.

Even one or two rooms that have an appeal to stay would be ok.

You could start an LLC and write off some of the costs of the maintenance.

A few bucks or not, I would not open my home and property to random strangers.

I would however consider finding a couple lads who might work for cheap to help you out on that ranch- farm you are working yourself to death on.

And yes, it's positively none of my business Tracy.   :)

LadyDraco

Well I finished the big field today. I even had to run to town and  get more gas for the tactor!

At least I wasn't as worn out Brushhogging as I get  hauling hay .
Why ? don't have to clutch, shift , brake and so on..
Brushhogging just go round and  round up and down..
Low range 3 rd gear and  throttled at the right  sound of the RPM for the  PTO , was fine...
Hell I could even rest my feet on the  big center hump ..
