I think she is a liar
Still think the same thing ? Yes, she has been coached very well though. I do think she may have been assaulted but not by Kavanaugh.

They have 2 guys who say it was them and not Kavanaugh. But no one really cares about that. No doubt in my mind something happened to the woman. But as to who it was? Who knows? Not even her. Plenty of reasonable doubt here

They were interviewed by Grassley's office, and apparently found lacking. If there was any sizzle, we'd be smelling steak.

Two other men have come forward to say they are the perps (statute of limitation long gone).
This confirms what I believe... that something happened to her all those years ago (she says one beer, but that may not be true, and how many do 15yo girls need to be impaired?), and at some point she convinced herself it was the good judge. And the timing of that is extremely suspicious.
If she is so certain that this happened and it was the good judge, and it had such a devastating effect on her life, how come she can't remember the where, and when, and who else, or much of any other relevant detail at all?
I do not believe any fair jury in the world would convict on this evidence (and his). This is not a criminal trial, but before we ruin a man's life and career, there's got to be a higher standard than this dog and pony show.
She may not be lying, but the good Judge is certainly not lying. He certainly has a very well established and long public record of a character for truthfulness that she could ever hope to approach or equal. (And her family notably did not sign on to the list of her supporters)
And finally, the palpable taint of the cheering and supporting media, democrats, and women, who simply do not want the good judge confirmed at all, for any reason, stinks like a rotten skunk.

I've said before that the main difference between modern liberals and conservatives & classical liberals is that modern liberals value feelings over facts, and conservatives value facts over feelings.
This is a classic example of that situation.
There are no facts.
It's all feelings.
We're supposed to feel sorry for this crazy liar and act on it, despite there being no facts whatsoever.
Facts don't care about your feelings.

Imagine the consternation of someone who has witnesses come forward claiming to be present at her made up event.

It's simple, at least with this case. All of the people opposed to Kavanaugh's confirmation are united in their hatred of Trump. If he does not get confirmed, expect the same exact thing to happen with the next candidate. And it's obvious that the ones on this board that are saying how honest Ms Ford is coming across are also against ANYONE that Trump nominates on principle. Just because of their same blind hatred of President Trump. Kavanaugh, in his entire distinguished career, has never had anything like this ever come up. Six FBI background investigations never found anything. Those same members on this board want to grasp at ANYTHING that MIGHT reflect bad on the President. They gleefully want to see both Trump and Kavanaugh utterly destroyed. They are nearly as bad as the people threatening his family with violence. It's a sickness. Everyone on the left who is against Kavanaugh is only against him because he might (less than a .001% chance) decide that Roe V Wade is not protected by the Constitution (which probably won't even come up in the next 10 years, if at all). They want the right to destroy pre-born life so badly they will destroy a man and his family over an accusation from 30 years ago that no one can corroborate as an excuse to blindly hate. Just a couple of weeks ago it was a foregone conclusion he would be confirmed, he was that clean of a candidate. Even people who were against him ideologically talked about his honesty. Frankly, I am disgusted by these people.

I watched this closely too. It was not feigned emotion. It was pure honest human emotion. It did nothing but improve his credibility. It mostly happened each time he referred to his family members (esp mom and dad). But I'm glad it got no worse than it did. He was bent (a little), but certainly not broken. Seems silly for him not to have a counsel to advise him or rein him in He is a gifted lawyer (and obviously a very good man), it would have been really stupid and bad PR for him to have had a lawyer sitting beside him. He didn't need one, and it would have been foolish for him to appear to need one.

BANG. We discover that MD apparently has no statute of limitation on sex offenses. (One wonders if the two guys who claimed to be the guilty parties knew this.)
Big deal, no conviction could ever be obtained, nor would any indictment ever be issued.
Don't you just love it when the guy in the chair is the smartest guy in the room?
-------------- The good judge may be being a (little) bit more combative than he should, but on reflection, one can hardly blame him taking his swings when they are presented.
-------------- It's been a while since I've been to a circus or watched a congressional hearing. My recollection is now refreshed that in addition to trying to do whatever the purpose of the hearing is supposed to do, there are always a series of mini soliloquies, by the various senators, to their respective constituents, during the hearing (and interrupting it), that are geared to show how good their party is (and how bad the other one is). I think of it as a series of mini commercials taking place during the main show. It is sordidly self serving and not conducive to an effective hearing.
----------- The (pretty limited) knowable facts are known. What is also clear is that getting to the (true) bottom of this is a virtual impossibility. The only thing the democrats have left in their bag is to keep asking the good judge to ask the President to tell the FBI to do more investigating.... into something that can never be discovered. Why should the nominee be asked to ask the president to tell the FBI to do further investigating? Because that's all they've got, that's why. Delay is the only goal.
Any republican in this Senate who would not vote in favor of confirmation..... better start looking for a new job (and move to a new state). (Of course the same can be said for any Democrat who votes in favor of confirmation, even if they know in their heart that it's the right thing to do.)

Senatorial Fossils that need to go away: 1. Grassley 2. Feinstein 3. Hatch 4. Leahy They've all far outlived their usefulness to the people of the United States of America as witnessed in this hearing. A couple of them are showing signs of pre-dementia and a true lack of presence in their speech and memory for the seriousness of their positions. A case for term limits in the Congress is being made today, live and in living color to the American people. Let's hope it's demanded and we receive it for all of ours' sake (and most importantly, for the sake of our country's future populaces). Let's hope that the good people of their respective states show sound judgment to put them all out to pasture come next elective cycle. They would all do better as former Senators at judging pies at state fairs in their retirements.

This is a joke. She can't keep her story straight. In her original story there were 4 boys in the room. No wait there was 2. No there were four others in the house. No wait 4 boys and 1 girl. She can't remember if she gave medical records to the Washington post for her story not long ago. The original reason her lawyers said that she couldn't come to DC to be interviewed was she was afraid to fly but yet during testimony she admits to flying home to DC front CA every year and to Hawaii on vacations.
This is a complete waste of time. The GOPs interviewer can't get a line on questioning because she only has five minutes at a time. If the dems want the truth they would let the interviewer use their time as well. They just use their time to thank her for coming forward and grandstanding. They don't want the truth. They just want Kavanaugh to withdraw or Trump to pull him. That has been their endgame the whole time....
......uh, you know the 5 minute rule and the sex crimes prosecutor is the Republicans doing ? Wrong. It's a standing senate rule. However, other senators can yield their time.

I've been observing the "attempted character assination" of Judge Kavanaugh all day. Whether Ford was assaulted and by who are questions that will never be answered. IMHO, she lacked proof and credibility. This is an obvious hatchet job the Dems are attempting to delay the process until after the mid-term elections.
Had an investigation by the FBI been started when the Dems first learned of this accusation instead of keeping this secret until recently Ford's testimony may have been more credible. I'm embarrassed to tell anyone I am a registered Democrat.
Opening such a Pandora's Box will come back to haunt the Democrats when their turn eventually rolls around.

I agree 100% with you Ron. I have little doubt that she was assaulted after her testimony but I am sure Bret didn't do it. I believe him 100%. IMHO any man that would do this once would do it again....
