Mark, I’m glad that you think Bob and I aren’t bad people. For what it may be worth, I think you are a good person. I think most of the people here that I see differently politically are also good people. (Even Serk)  But I have no idea why you would think that I agree with any neo nazi tactics. It is OK if we have philosophical differences about what direction our country needs to go.

Now ford does not want to come if she is to be questioned by a federal prosecutor (with long experience in sex crimes), and insists she only be questioned by senators.  Her attorney argues having the independent examiner will not provide her fair and respectful treatment and fair and credible process.

While her Dem (sponsor) senators will certainly softball their questions and give her every (royal) soft and loving treatment, she should be under no illusions that she is not subject to a thorough and perhaps rigorous cross examination (but still within the professional limits any good judge would allow in his courtroom).  Given the media circus this will be, you cannot blame republicans for not wanting to step up and bear down on a claimed female sexual assault case.  Main stream media will certainly crucify any (every) republican who asks hard questions (or makes her cry).  

And while some Republicans are licensed attorneys, not all of them are (and licensed or not doesn't make them efficient and effective cross examiners).  And this needs to be done right.  (And if I was a betting man, I'd bet the federal prosecutor in mind is a woman.)  This is all perfectly legitimate, and not unreasonable, and certainly not unfair.

When you set out to ruin a man, a least you should be able to stand up to a little inconvenience.  I mean, as a woman, don't you feel an obligation to all the other women and girls he hasn't molested yet?

If she is telling the truth, she should have nothing to fear.

If she won't come to be examined by an independent, then get on with the vote (the same day).

And since when does her attorney get to demand a less skilled opponent?  He's already had lots of time to rehearse and prepare her testimony (and demeanor), doesn't he think she can remember it?

And now I am just wondering if this negotiating to testify, is nothing more than additional delay with no intention of ever actually testifying.  Just diddle around as long as you can, or get your preconditions refused, or just change your mind.  She can be subpoenaed, but has not been.

Very understandable. Sadly (in my view) the Republican Party has gone out of it's way to drive off those voters who have liberal social views and conservative economic ones. If she is well trained and rehearsed, it may be unlikely any (important) truth would come out.

A good attorney is not necessarily Houdini (a line I often used with my criminal clients).

But a good cross examination can go a long way to revealing the extent of her rehearsal, her interaction with Feinstein, her memory, her attitude and demeanor, her timing, her politics, every inconsistency, her explanation of why others she named as present have no recollection of the event. A fair and reasonable assessment of her overall credibility.

I'm wondering why she was good with Kavanagh being on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit since July 2003, but not the Supreme Court.  

And it has been said she posted up on Facebook, back in March '17, that someone should accuse Gorsuch of rape to derail his nomination (and any other nominations, until Trump nominated Garland), then scrubbed it from her page.  That right there is worthy of an hour or two of discussion.

She will be under oath, and while she can lie about what cannot be disproved, she does so with risk of a perjury conviction with anything that can be proved.
