Hats off for Joe Mansion. Don’t know how he will vote tomorrow but he stood tall today. Today he actually represented the wishes of the majority of West Virginia residents. He represents a dieing breed of politicians that understands the importance of compromise and working across the aisle.

I'm not so sure about that. Although I think it is a good thing that he is swinging over, I have heard several times that the democratic party gave him the OK to do so if it looked like Kavanaugh was going to get elected anyway. They knew that his constituents were overwhelming in favor of Kavanaugh and did not want him to loose his seat in the next election.

What happened to the politicians that voted for the people and not the party?

He voted for Gorsuch too, I think he has been around long enough to buck the party when it makes sense to do so.

Senator Collins just gave one of the best CYA speeches I have ever heard.

It won't please some but I found myself agreeing with her on the vast majority of that speech.

Judge Kavanaugh will be confirmed.   cooldude

Wow...

When I think the Democrat side can't stoop any lower, they prove me wrong.

Senator Jeff Merkley has filed a lawsuit and is requesting a restraining order preventing the senate from holding the final confirmation vote.

What... The.... Snuggle...

I don't know who this person is, but their statement reads like a two-year-old's temper tantrum to me.

I'm not a Twitter tweetee, but a quick search found her (or his?) self-description:  Queer. Genderfluid. Socialist.

I could write for quite awhile about my opinion of how diabolical the democrats are and have been. We continue to see them devolve into absolute insanity. Not just the leadership but even the rank and file have gone so far left they are in another physical and mental dimension.

My fear is that come the November election, the wide scale violence comes out. Attacks at polling places. Attacks at political rallies. Got a feeling they are going to make the worse of the Neo-Nazis look like cub scouts compared to this rampant evil that is the left.

A great video put out by

Moms for Kavanaugh

https://youtu.be/fBq-t5Oswag

As a side note

While speaking to the National Woman's Party on 08/26/18, an audience member had to give Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg a copy of the Constitution because she lost hers and couldn't remember what the 14th Amendment said.

Big piles of protesters in the Capitol and around DC, awaiting the vote.

I'm trying to figure out the difference between them, and the old Chatty Cathy doll, where you pulled the string and she said something cute.

Other than the fact they don't say anything cute, I cannot find any difference at all.

Racist, bigot, white males, Nazi, misogynist, sexist, and on and on.

Manson and Eichmann were survivors.

You had to buy the Chatty Cathy, and apparently a lot of these protesters have also been bought.

And Chatty Cathy didn't lie.

What a freeking joke Chuck Schumer is. I just watched him say the GOP tilted the table in there favor for Kavanaugh.....That is so obsurd it's laughable.  He said it was wrong because they used a outside procecutor to question Ford. Oh yeah he wouldn't have had a problem if 10 old white GOP senators had questioned her instead ..

It was funny listening to all the losers whine. You know how it is when the sportscaster interviews the losing coach. He talks about the effort and maybe missed opportunities and if he’s a true leader he congratulates the victorious team, but they are still the loser.

The leadership of the Democrats can now consider their position. Kavanaugh is now a lifetime Justice, that’s not going to change. The possibility exists that Trump could be nominating another judge before the end of his first term. The midterms are next and Trump is still on the march to rally after rally. I have tickets to his rally next week in Richmond Ky and I hope to get up their and see one live for myself.

The last few weeks has been kinda agonizing but at the same time a most interesting time to watch our government at work.

Now maybe, we can get back to the Russians!

Conservatives need to realize that this confirmation will result in an enthusiastic Liberal response in November.   I fully expect to see the House of Representives to change hands.   It would be a normal change during mid-term elections regardless of which party was currently in power.  Conservatives need to stay engaged and vote. You can bet your bippy the Liberals will.

I've been watching the different "news" media outlets.   The vast majority are seriously pushing an agenda to keep Dems angry and drive them to the polls in November.

If Conservatives don't vote in mass, you will get what you don't want, more Liberal crap.

Tomorrow the fight will continue.

You know, I was very very unhappy that Sotomayor and Kagan got on the court.

But you'll notice the Rep's and conservatives did not go to the mat with lies and hate and threats and protests and delay and tantrums with mental meltdowns about it.

And Kavanaugh is a better judge than either of them will ever live to be. (on ANY issue)

I suppose it's possible the confirmation will energize the left for the midterms, but it's not like the Democrat's all-time lowest blows, lying, cheating, mudslinging and character assassination of one of the best men America has ever produced will go unnoticed.

I'm flying the flag tomorrow.

And special honorable mention for Senator Joseph Manchin III from the great state of West Virginia (my home state) is warranted.  Apparently the only man on the other side who has some honor and a brain, and knows the right thing to do when he sees it.  (yeah, WV is very pro Trump, but I doubt that's all there was to it)

On the other hand, Murkowski needs to find her brain and get a life (and hopefully a new job).

Almost down party lines but it is good when the right thing happens despite deceitful opposition. Arizona Republicans need to elect a new senator and put an end to the RINO tradition there.

How true this video is and when produced we really didn't know the real truth of what was being said. We see it demonstrated in the Kavanaugh hearing and now into his presidency we are beginning to understand the real truth in what he said

This Video Will Get Donald Trump Elected

Far as I'm concerned sen claire mcaskill-d-mo-should be ousted from her senate seat. After perusing how the vote went she went WRONG-AGAIN. Along with her other "wrong" votes she NEEDS to be sent home on November 6 2018. I M H O she can NOT be made a civilian soon enough. Some of the whiny azzed demoncraps were complaining that Judge Kavanaugh wasn't handling himself as a Judge should during their witch hunt. For a MAN whose Very LIFE and his chosen Profession were about to be brought down about his head and shoulders and his Family life headed who knew where I BELIEVE he did as well as could be expected under the snugglin circumstances he had thrust upon him.

As an aside here boys and Ladies-Do NOT under any circumstances fegit to VOTE on November 6 2018. Our Countries Very FUTURE may STILL hang in the balance. It ARE lookin better BUT do NOT assume ANYTHING. RIDE SAFE.

Another thing.  Whatever happened to truth, justice and the American way?

Fundamental fairness and due process are neither conservative or liberal.  It isn't right and left, it's right and wrong.

As big a (terrible) circus as this confirmation was (ALL on the Dems too), a full and fair hearing and investigation was conducted, both parties had their say and input.  And justice was done and the right decision was reached (barely).

(Anyone who doesn't see the parallels with the last presidential election isn't paying attention.)

No rational, deliberative, thinking person (regardless of political persuasion) could watch this confirmation, and read all the evidence (as opposed to advocacy), and argue Ford carried the day with her entirely unsubstantiated claim from decades ago.  She was either lying, deluded, or simply mistaken in her identification.  With the good judge's entire life and career a matter of (extensive) record, this should not have even been close as to the outcome.  With all the evidence in, it cannot be fairly said that Ford even created a reasonable doubt about the good judge's character.  And disqualifying him (or anyone) should take more than a (one) reasonable doubt.

God forbid these lunatic fanatics (and their cheering universities, students and media supporters) ever again gain power in our Country.  They pose a greater risk to our constitutional republic, freedom and liberty than any communist block or fundamentalist Islam ever did (or will).

The DC post-confirmation protests put me in mind of Mao's Red Guards.... who simply ran amok and killed, tortured or reeducated anyone they didn't like or disagreed with (almost anyone with any education... you know, people who might be independent and actually think for themselves).

In our Country, everyone has one vote, and the right to convince others that his ideas about how to run it are better than the other guy's (and free speech to do it).   Then, we choose up sides (parties) and vote, and the result is considered  the will of the people, who are supposed to hold ALL power under our constitution (though we reduce it to elected representatives to supposedly make it more manageable to operate a govt).

Now the other side doesn't have many any good ideas on how to run the country (platform), because if they did, they would be able to rely on this to honestly convince everyone (or at least a majority) to vote them into power, and to run the country.  So instead of having any good ideas, they make a full time business of attacking their opposition in an open warfare manner by libel, slander, lies, deflection, deception, divisiveness, appeals to emotion and not logic, media ownership, etc, to get people to vote for them... not because they have better ideas on how to run the country, but because they can say our side is worse than theirs.  (Sure, we give it back to them sometimes, but there's such a thing as self defense.)

It's a hell of a way to run a railroad.

And you'll notice our side (for the most part) doesn't make a full time job of demonstrating and protesting and disrupting everything, because we DO have good ideas on how to run the country, and we  feel like that speaks for itself.  We have better things to do.  And we tend to have more respect for the rule of law, honesty and decent treatment of our fellow man. We also don't make buying votes a large part of our platform.

Close vote or not, this confirmation IS the will of the people.
