What a zoo. It accomplished nothing. So many lives hurt and so much time and money wasted. The entire bill should be presented to Feinstein. She can pay up or resign.

Frankly, it was disgusting and it will be years, if ever before I ever cast a general election vote for any democrat  I am not ready to register republican but will likely switch to independent or conservative

know this, as Jess will substantiate, the FBI does not make decisions, they write reports and hand over evidence. There is no evidence here NONE just the tainted word of a corrupt senator who should be in jail and removed from office (Feinstein) There is no way any allegation could be substantiated and they have ruined the lives of people just like they end lives of people who oppose them or wish to blow the whistle on them

It is my hope that hell has a special place for all of these inquisitors

and I pray for the soul of Ford as she has been violated by the democrats and is so stupid and damaged she does not even know it yet

Exactly what I thought, A Zoo for all to see. After watching maybe 20 min's of Dr. Ford's questioning I was fed up so turned the show off. Turned it back on to catch the last 20 min's of Judge Kavanaugh being belittled. Embarrassed  I can't imagine how he controled himself as professional as he did. I do not like being accused of things that I have not done. I pray for our country and for those who believe this was how this investigation should be conducted.  uglystupid2

I was A Union Democrat my whole adult life untill about 10 yrs ago when. I decided there was no longer a Democratic party.... only the Socialist Party.   I then started voting Republican

I see a vote fir an Independent Candidate who cant win as a wated vote.    However I truly think you should vote the way you desire.... as long as you vote.    This November any of my family or friends who want to gripe about how economic things are... im gonna ask them if they voted and they say no im gonna tell them i dont want to hear their gripes

Yes - if I had been in his place - it would have taken the first question about this alleged incident for me to blow up, give them all a good round chewing, then tell them I was through with them even if they were not through with me, and walked out.

Meathead....are you forgetting that a person is innocent until proven guilty? Sincerity bears no weight in the scales of justice. Proven facts do.
If this Democratic Senate Sham has anything to do with it a person will now be presumed guilty until that person can prove innocence.
This was a political stunt at the lowest level I can ever remember. Lives and careers changed forever for the simple reason of Political gain by and for 535 Washington idiots. I would be ashamed to be a part of the Governing Democratic party today.

"After an emotional day of testimony on Capitol Hill, a late Thursday report from Townhall citing a Senate insider reveals that Brett Kavanaugh has the votes to make it out of committee and will be confirmed on the floor for a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court."

cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude

I wonder how this experience will influence his decisions on the court?

What a travesty, that he had to go through this to get his position. The Dems are digging their own grave on the with the negative attacks and no positive changes towards the building of this country, they have lost their forward momentum for positive change and construction.

Quote:
"Democrats are now suggesting that Kavanaugh isn't fit for the Supreme Court because of his emotional testimony over accusations that will hang over his head for the rest of his life, confirmed or not."

This is just plain sick.

A great ad

I sincerely believe that this sham will come back to haunt the Dems at some point in the future.   Eventually, the shoe will be on the other foot and the Dems will reap the harvest of the  seeds they are sowing.

California, you sent us Feinstein, take her back, do something about it!    While you're at it, put Pelosi out to pasture also.

I’m particularly disappointed in Feinstein. Her being female, an elder states person, and well versed in the working of the senate and Washington in general, I didn’t think she would stoop this low. Now I see that early on in the hearing she let the younger Turks like Booker do the grandstanding and when that didn’t work she threw the grenade she had in her pocket since before the hearings even started! She has elevated herself above Pelosi and Schumer in my book of shame.

I’m wondering if we will have to wait a generation to purge the Senate of these dinosaurs that can’t remember why they are there. Then we have to concerned about the pool of young people who will follow them and what their values are.

I must be getting old, there was i time I couldn’t have cared less about our elected officials. The turning point for me was Osama BinLaden and Barrack Obama, two real eye openers.

Feinstein should be removed from her position immediately for keeping this information to herself for 6 weeks. There is no other way to look at it but as a political stunt to try to keep Kavanaugh from being voted on. Even a retarded monkey can see that.

I have little respect for most of our elected officials and lately thier actions have supported that opinion. In reality they have made it harder for women in using Ford as a pawn since now if there really is a case of molestation it will be looked at with skepticism.

I watched the video on Kavanaugh and respect him since he is in it and stayed, even to threats on his family.

Good on you Mr Kavanaugh.  cooldude cooldude

What is telling is Fienstien had a Chinese intelligence officer connected to her personally and all these years, we now where the Chinese have gotten their technology and government secrets from.

But we dont hear one word about this, Do we?

In watching Ford, wouldn't you think if it was such an emotionally charged issue to you and your fighting your fight wouldn't you remember the letter you sent to Fienstien and not have to have one lawyer on either side of you supporting and coaching you?

The opening paragraph of the satire piece pretty well sums up reality -

Quote
Well, it looks like this has been a successful day for everybody: after hours upon hours of testimony, questioning, and monologues by presidential hopefuls, every single person in the country still believes exactly what he or she already believed about Brett Kavanaugh going into the hearings.

OSS...disgusting display of our government! Continuing insistence on an FBI investigation was annoying. Years ago I had the opportunity to work with the FBI on a murder case. They are a "fact finding investigative organization" that will work closely with a responsible jurisdiction in which a "possible" federal crime has taken place. That determination is also made through investigation.

Information gathered by the FBI ( and all involved  agencies) is / was shared. Upon completion of the case all findings were submitted to the responsible juriction. At this time and again upon completion of the investigation, the responsible jurisdiction submitted all information / evidence gathered by all investigatory agencies (to include the FBI)  to the prosecutor within said jurisdiction in which the crime had been committed. That's the way I remember it taking place. They (FBI) as I saw it were an investigative tool.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/09/28/prosecutor-tells-wavering-senators-wouldnt-charge-kavanaugh-as-vote-looms.html.

To sum the prosector, Mitchell told the republicans last night that Ford's case would not hold up in court and she would not even take Ford's case near a courtroom.

Well duh.  Ford could never cover any of the five w's.  Early on when this story broke it was reported she thought it was Kavanaugh but could not be sure.  Of course yesterday she said 100 percent - nice coaching from the party that had operatives and such cover all her expenses ( and I suspect a nice payday also ).   To me she appeared very troubled.  It was reported last night she had major problems at Halton Arms which led to her relocation to California.  Maybe.

Great on Kavanaugh in that opening statement who covered all his bases and labeled this circus for what it was.  This changed the dynamic instantly.  I who have not been a fan of Graham for years have seen him come around since the 2016 election to stand for a whole lot more of what I stand for.  His outburst and condeming these proceedings was possibly one of the greatest  call outs in the history of the Senate  ( at least in my lifetime ) and was sorely needed at this time.  Once the new senate is seated in January I hope they push to make him their leader.  Mc Connell is just to old, low of energy, and inept at making any kind of conservative case.

Possibly, but are they that stupid to do a payoff right there in the court room? It is very possible these people are that stupid, i mean, did you listen to the democrats? I have even less respect for them now, if that is possible.

She didn't remember anything that would involve direct corroboration by another human being.  She was only able to remember the things Kavanaugh and Judge were supposedly directly involved in.  How convenient.

Doesn't matter that all those she did name as not being directly involved in the supposed incident, but supposedly in the house, have denied any knowledge of the incident.

But we're supposed to stop the government's proceedings over uncorroborated, unsubstantiated accusations only.  I hope he's confirmed and I hope Trump, true to form, brags about his 2nd successful appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court for years to come.

Just a few of my observations:

1) She was coached NOT to say that she thought he was going to kill her.  Instead she said "I thought he was going to accidentally kill me"

Is that what you would think if someone was on top of you, suffocating you?

2) Feinstein said she only released it when the woman gave her permission and that it was not leaked.

The woman stated she and her family were being harassed, reporters were outside her home.  That's when she gave permission.  So, how did the press find out who and where she lived before she gave the permission?

3) They kept pushing him to ask for an FBI investigation into himself.

Who in their right mind would ever call for an investigation into themselves?  And before you say "An innocent person would", I'll say you're an idiot for even thinking that.

I've now heard several thinking talking heads predict the following:

If the good Judge is confirmed, that will fire up the Bolsheviks (no longer to be referred to as mere Socialists) and they may retake either or both houses in the Midterms.

If the good Judge is not confirmed, that will fire up conservatives and moderates (like when Hillary was running), and the Bolsheviks will not retake either house.

While this may be overly simplistic, it also has the ring of the possible.  On reflection, to get to a solid 5-4 majority on the High Court for the indefinite future (to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution), it may be worth it in the long haul.  That would be too bad for Trump's good works for the next couple years.... and consistent with a Machiavellian Bolshevik end game for creating this circus event.

Confirm Brett Kavanaugh, and damn the torpedoes.

And please, sh!tcan (forever) the new American Corn Lobby push for permanent E15 at all our gas pumps.  If farmers need the support, do it another way.

I see him getting confirmed and the Republicans getting the super majority in the house. Us conservatives are sick and tired of the bullshit the dems are pulling. Vote them all out and abolish their party all together.

Obviously the Dems whole purpose is to delay the confirmation until after the November elections when they hope to regain control of congress. Then they will have the votes to reject Trump's candidates outright.

This is just a sham to facilitate that delay. Trump gave a list of his potential Supreme Court nominees to the press before his election. I'd bet a paycheck the Dems have other accusers waiting in the wings for each and every potential nominee Trump listed. If Trump gives up and brings forth the next candidate, the Dems will do the same thing again leaving even less time to investigate it. If by chance, Kavanaugh is not voted in, Trump needs to appoint someone who is not on that list and whose credentials are already well known. Senator Cruz would be an outstanding choice.

After Kavanaugh is appointed or rejected an investigation should be done. Not on the 36 year old allegations, but to see who lied under oath at the hearing. Whichever one it is should go to prison. If it's Kavanaugh, he's off the court and on the way to prison. If it was her, perhaps the threat of prison will force her to divulge who paid her. That would drain a little more of the swamp
