Thank you ! I suppose I'll have to remove rear fender to get to plugs ? I may use aluminum instead of steel as it would be a lot easier to work with .......

Steel is easy, put it in the vise and slowly draw the hack saw back and dig shallow lines where you want the bend. A 32nd is fine. Stick it back in the vice with the short piece up. Start to bent it in with the cut or score on the inside, using a huge crescent wrench, then Finish it by tapping it over with a mallet. Scoring the Metal always works.
