Gas leaks from under the Cap

1998 Standard
After filling tank full, When I Snap the throttle hard, gas leaks from under the cap.
Checked for OEM gasket for Fuel cap and find nothing.
Anyone have this issue or know of a solid fix?

I would go to a car parts place and buy some rubber gasket material (thinnest available) made to resist gas, copy the one in there and add the new one to the old one, sorry that's all I can think of besides buying a new cap somewhere.

There are some threads on this topic (search gas smell) but they don't seem to be as severe as yours. O-ring around the gas cap to supplement the stock gasket seems to be a favorite solution.

I had saved this thread before I even bought a Valkyrie.

Do what Chris suggested, you can remove the rubber seal from the cap and add the extra piece under the old rubber seal, it will make it a little taller to form a new seal, did this a few years back.
Don't add much, you just want enough to restore the height of the old seal.
