If you want advice, I think you need to be more specific about the aftermarket bags you're talking about. The Honda OE rails (and the aftermarket copies) incorporate a nice sturdy guard down low that protects more than the bags. Rails that just bolt to the outside of the bags are all blow and no show. Other than maybe protecting from a scuff, they will just crack the bag at the mounts if the trauma is hard enough. Like these: https://www.tsukayu.com/BagGuards.htmlAre you after form, or function? |

Bag rails are a really close fit. Not sure you can find someone that has done what you are looking to do? If you just wing it, you may be wasting your money if they rub or Just won't work. Just going to have to find someone that has tried it like I said.
Might take some measurements off a Tourer and compare it to your current setup to see if they are comparable.

Like Jess & Hooter stated, more info needed.
The Tsukayu web-site shows 6 different bags offered for the Valk, w/o size specs.
If you post detailed measurements, I'll measure mine as best I can. Mine are for EOM bags.

See if you can find someone with a Tourer or IS, take one of his bags off and drop yours in to see of it fits. It depends on your bag mounts also.

I'm pretty sure what you are wanting to do is what BF did years back. It's the bike that ChrisjCMA bought from him before he passed away. I think he had to add a little spacer in the back. But they look awesome. He did a write up explaining how he did it all.

I appreciate the help. My bags stick out ~12 inches from the side of fender (front and rear). The length of the bag at the bottom is ~18 inches. It’s hard to measure as the bags are curved of course.

If you bought look-a-like Valk bags from tsukayu, the guard rails will probably fit. However, without oem saddlebag *brackets,* you'll have to improvise something to anchor Guard Rail B to keep the tail end of the guard rails from flopping around. The front of the guard rails are attached with Bolts A.  Guard Rail B (above) is clamped to the saddlebag brackets at X.  The clamp.  |

I got as close of a measurement as I could at the back of the bag. As close as I can tell from the fender to the outside of the bag is roughly 10 3/4". My bag rail was roughly 1/4" away from the bag. That measurement was outside bag to the inside of the rail.
I added these rails since the Tourer didn't come with any. My bike is a 98. I can go out and measure front to rear and measurements at the front when it gets a touch warmer. It's -8 so laying on the floor can wait a day or 2.

Which tsukayu bags do you have? I did exactly what you’re looking to do with my tsukayu strong bags. I used BFs write-up, which I can post for you to follow if you’d like. If my memory serves me, the rear of the rails has to be widened about 1.5 inches either side of the center piece. Zoom in on my pic and you’ll see what I mean, just above the exhausts. Excuse the dust, I live on gravel!  |

I have both Hondaline guardrails and ebay guardrails. They're the same except the workmanship. I have a question. If the stern of the guard rails aren't bolted down to something, doesn't the tail end of the guard rails flop around?  |

My bike that BF built has Honda rails around Mustang bags with are the same bags as yours. Looks good. He did have to make small spacers to make them a couple inches wider   |
