I have the cover set and air filter element but was wondering if someone can spec the vacuum line so I can buy it in bulk for multiple bikes.  Is there something out there better than the OEM?  About how many feet of vacuum line does one Valkyrie require?

TIA,

DFG

Dave: First: It's good to hear your feeling well enough to work on bikes again. 2nd: I've found nothing better than OEM vacuum lines. Silicone can get brittle in the heat and NAPA stuff will crack in 6-12 months. HDL sells 26 ft (1000 mm I think) for about $41 with handling charge($1.50/ft). About 3.5 - 4 ft will do the pair valve lines and petcock line. I replaced mine with OEM from HDL 3 yrs ago. No problems with 110K on the ODO.

Thanks, Sandy.  I'm planning the DFW VRCC December wrench party and expect to have quite a few bikes there.

Off-topic, but...  Hospital for 2 days, Walkyrie for 3 weeks, Cane for 3 weeks but began tapering off about 1.5 weeks in.  At event + 44 days, the Doc said, "Lose the cane".  Back on the Rumblebee at event + 48 days.

for those that don't deal with the metric system on a daily basis........1000 mm is 1 meter  is 39.36 inches.........  Smiley Smiley

Thanks, Mike.  I skipped right over and didn't catch the mm and focused on the ft.

hypalon caps  sold by jegs. Have never seen solid hypalon tubing, always seams to be used as a liner.

there are many other sites and the best materials to use on engines.
