Alright, I'm out of the Honda Moly 60 lube for the final drive. I've read countless threads on this site about the best product to use., but I'm not sure what's right. There have been statements that moly paste vs moly grease are to be used here but not there.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could clear it up for me. I look at Belray products on Amazon. and it seems there are more than a few to choose from.

How about a link or two to make it simple...

Thanks,

Bob

I use a water resistant Lucas heavy equipment grease you can see it in my PowerPoint in shoptalk. Belray waterproof grease works well. A bike I have been working on for years uses only that with excellent results

I use the Loctite moly paste just because it has a high % of moly.  I don't have conclusions on it yet.  I do know you shouldn't mix brands or types due to compatibility.  That was emphasized to me by the Kubota docs.  I bought a case of their Kubota grease for my grease gun as that's what my tractor was assembled with.  Really good stuff but I don't use it on the Valk.  Just everywhere I pump grease into zerks.  This stuff for the grease gun:

Yamaha sells a tube of moly grease that has worked well so far for me for both my Concours 14s, and I'd wager that both of them load their final splines heavier under power than our Valkyries do. Still have Honda Moly Paste around for the F6s, though I'll be looking at alternatives come the next rear-end service.

Bob, this is probably your best bet. I’m down to half a tube of the Honda 60. When I run out, this will likely be my choice.

I have read that just performing the maintenance and assembling correctly is more important than the specific lubrication.

FWIW, I am still using the same bottle of Bel-Ray Assembly Lube I bought in 2007.

I have been using the Bel-Ray waterproof grease since the first service.  It's what my local Honda shop uses and sells.  That's good enough for me.
