I have read that the vacuum canister is not needed on our valks. Can anyone confirm this? I plan on using all 6 sources to supply the servo.

Thanks in advance yall

Mine doesn't have one. It uses 2 of the vacuum ports with a check valve on them. Works great.

+1 same setup I have, been on there for quite a few years. Had all six originally but a few years back did away with all but two....one from each side. Works fine.

It’s really your choice. I have one with a canister on my β€˜97, and a 2001 IS without using the 2 check valves mentioned by others. My β€˜97 with the canister has a much smoother, quicker and consistent response than the β€˜01. They will work just fine without a canister, but much better with.

Newer version does not use vacuum.

I use a very small vacuum canister and 1 vacuum port. It works just fine.
