The big problem is that the politicians think they are in charge. They're not - They only govern by the consent of the governed (US) - and it would do well to remind them of that.

I don't trust anyone or any agency about this anymore. I don't trust if we should mask or not. I DON'T CARE if 1,000,000 Americans may die from this anymore. I just want it to be over and get back to normal. I'm sick and tired of 2020 (I've had a very bad year and I'm sick of it). I don't trust any politicians anymore. I don't  trust any leader anymore. I've never had a great deal of trust for Congress or any member of it.

Getting frustrated and wishing it away ain't going to do crap. Yeah, 2020 has sucked. Get over it. You don't think our fathers and their fathers have faced worse ? Blaming politicians does nothing to improve the situation. You want to go rogue and rebel against stores requiring masks ? Go for it. Ain't going to get you crap. But, by all means exercise your right of descent. I DO CARE if 1 million Americans die from this.

I am stuck inside today.  Got a bunch of bug bites, not sure if chiggers or what or even for sure they are bugs but….

I feel very much the same Scooper, and all the time, except for one thing.

The enemy's goal is (always) to make us decent citizens feel powerless, angry, frustrated, and ready to strike out in any direction... ruled by emotion (not intellect).  And they play the long game.

So I often take time outs, away from reading and watching the daily (hourly) sh!t show we have today (and forever after?).

Then I come back a bit refreshed.

Don't let the bastards wear you down.  We have to play the long game too, with our intellects (not emotions).   It surely isn't easy.

(and this preaching is as much for me as for anyone else)

Are you ready and going to take the next wave of lockdowns?

Mass-Tracking COVI-PASS Immunity Passports To Be Rolled Out In 15 Countries

The pressure is already mounting for state and local governments to move again toward coerced stay at home orders and mandatory business closures.

If the current plan for the "experts" and the politicians is to impose a six- or eight-month lockdown until next summer, get ready for an economic depression of unprecedented proportions.

30 percent of Americans already missed their house payments in June. Expect that to get a lot worse if lockdown mandates are tightened again.

Since March, the CDC has repeatedly reduced its estimated fatality rate. Many Americans have also gradually become aware, for example, that in the US 40 percent of deaths attributed to COVID-19 occurred in nursing homes.

Many now know that among known cases under age 50, the fatality rate is now estimated at well under 1 percent. The CDC estimates that the symptomatic case fatality rate for people younger than 50 is just 0.05 percent, compared to 1.3 percent for people 65 or older and 0.2 percent for 50-to-64-year-olds. Those are just the symptomatic cases. Many who get the disease show no symptoms at all.

Without COVID-19 panic Democrats cannot easily achieve ‘mail-in’ voting; which they desperately need in key battleground states in order to control the outcome.

Without COVID-19 panic Democrats cannot shut down rallies and political campaigning efforts of President Trump; which they desperate need to do in key battleground states.

Without COVID-19 panic Democrats cannot block the campaign contrast between an energetic President Trump and a physically tenuous, mentally compromised, challenger.

Without COVID-19 panic Democrats do not have an excuse for cancelling the DNC convention in Milwaukee; thereby blocking Team Bernie Sanders from visible opposition while protecting candidate gibberish from himself.

Without COVID-19 panic Democrats do not have a mechanism to keep voters isolated from each-other; limiting communication and national debate adverse to their interests. COVID-19 panic pushes the national conversation into the digital space where Big Tech controls every element of the conversation.

Without COVID-19 panic Democrats cannot keep their Blue state economies easily shut-down and continue to block U.S. economic growth.  All thriving economies are against the political interests of Democrats.

Without COVID-19 panic Democrats cannot easily keep club candidate Joe Biden sealed in the basement; where the electorate is not exposed to visible signs of his dementia.

Without COVID-19 panic it becomes more difficult for Big Tech to censor voices that would outline the fraud and scheme.  With COVID-19 panic they have a better method and an excuse.

Without COVID-19 panic Democrats cannot advance, influence, or organize their preferred presidential debate format, a ‘virtual presidential debate’ series. [Comrade Gretchen Whitmer knows this plan, hence she cancelled the Michigan venue]

Some folk here ( I won't name names but his initials are 'R o b e r t')  seem to spend alot of words in what appears to me to be an attempt to politicize the virus and slam the democrats without any real facts to back up the allegations.

I'm concerned that both Authoritarian Personality Syndrome and Social Dominance Orientation are alive and well.

As I look at the reports, by state, and the actions taken by Governors, I see that there are Governors from both sides of the isle placing the various restrictions on their folks, not just the Dems.

Georgia, South Carolina, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Arizona, Mississippi, all of which having a reported high in new cases are all run by Republicans if I'm not mistaken.

And I'm pretty sure everyone that has watched TV is aware that the protective measures and restrictions put in place in the state of New York, worked, and worked well in the so called epicenter of the virus in the US. So maybe, just maybe these restrictions really are meant to help protect you and the people around you and have been proven to work effectively.

And yes, there is most likely flaws in the numbers reported by the CDC. But it is hardly a political diabolical plan. If the jurisdiction in which an infection is recorded does not properly / promptly enter the information in the CDC’s electronic reporting system, then the numbers will not be totally accurate. The labs are suppose to report all COVID19 positives to the appropriate state or local public health department. Many providers in rural areas do not have the tools to enter the information electronically and have resorted to sending emails to public health agencies, which may or may not ever be counted.

Me personally, I don't see the sense in dwelling on the politics of the virus. I'm more concerned about the real possibility of getting the virus and how that might affect me and my family.

Yes I'm concerned. I'm concerned because the cases here in Georgia are going up because a my governor opened the state up way too early, despite the guidance provided by his own party in the White House, and a bunch of younger folks decided they didn't need to wear a mask went out and didn't take precautions. Pictures and videos that show this to be true do not lie, and there is no politics in pictures.

I served in the Army for 22 years and as such I gave up some liberties so that I might help protect my country and the people in it. I have no problem wearing a mask so that I might help protect myself and the people I may come in contact with for the relatively short period of time that it takes to come up with a vaccine that works

When you know some one that was taken because of the virus, it tends to make it extremely real. I have a sister that was infected with COVID19 and I am well aware of what she went through - it's real.

And finally, isn't there a fairly well know quote that goes something like :

"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one."

Yes there are certain parties that I take their postings with a grain of salt. It doesn't do much good to respond about about every one of them, just kind of let the water flow off your back. I do say something about the most outrageous (IMO) ones, however, just to let them know I'm still watching.

About the just "let it flow" - there have been times and postings that I was getting real depressed / angry about the world /situation, and then I realized I need to just step back and use my centering activities to get back to a good place.

To those I may have offended, I'm sorry.

a lot of pretty words but leaves a lot of details out.

Tyrant NJ governor murph told all of the restaurants that they could open thursday 7/2/20. so all spent money to prepare the seating area and stocked up on food. Yesterday He changed his mind and said they can't open now.  so this just completely bankrupted many places and they will shut down for good.
UN 2030 Agenda  Goal Cool Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all

Translation: Regulate small business out of existence with government-mandated minimum wages that bankrupt entire sectors of the economy. Force employers to meet hiring quotas of LGBT workers while mandating wage tiers under a centrally planned work economy dictated by the government.
Destroy free market economics and deny permits and licenses to those companies that don't obey government dictates. (Tyrant murph has stated this already if businesses don't follow his made up rules.)

Too continue the Tyrants agenda,

“Individuals should leave the place of self-quarantine only to seek medical care/treatment or to obtain food and other essential items," according to the Department of Health. http://nj-ne.ws/qtyZnkL

if they can leave their house then it is not a quarantine. tyrant murphs dictates are nothing more than a feel good power grab words. people should look up fauci political background and his associates. who knows he caused the HIV scare which gave his govt dept millions upon millions of dollars diverted from much serious disease research that millions of people have?
him and others are using computer models to take control just like models used for climate change, which if anybody did their research stated all of the coast lines should be under the ocean 10 yrs ago.

So it seems the UN marxist Globalists which the democrats and some republicans are members as UN operatives, found something more scary to the people than climate change to get their agenda of destroying America and to re-boot the world system to happen.
Analyze the similarities.

My mom had told me she had 3 friends that were positive, told me a week ago that family was up to 7 members that were infected.

I was reading the above article earlier this morning when my mom messaged me that her good friend's family was up to 18 infected family members now, and it's on the news.

I asked her if this was the same ones, and turns out it was....

Inform don't mandate.

Admittedly I am less optimistic than Senator Scott that after hearing "the facts" we will become more conscientious in our actions. Most Americans hear facts and question the truths that led to them -- and maybe that's not always a bad thing. But how can we inform enough to motivate significant behavioral change?. That's the nagging question.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/coronavirus-mandates-americans-right-decisions-more-information-sen-rick-scott

Unfortunately politicization of a virus disguises and twists the science and fact behind clouds of personal bias.  That said, It seems our President is suddenly a fan of masks insofar as he is admitting their efficacy.

Now that President Trump has come out in favor of wearing masks, I'm sure the MSM will be churning out articles about how evil and dangerous masks are any minute now...

Aah-ha.  Thanks for the clarification.  I love the guy, but sometimes his rationale is a bit elusive.  Now I get it.

I'm sure the majority of physicians will also express the evils of masking up in public!  I'll be watching for the medical community to rescind their stance on masking any time now...

Fauci predicted a pandemic in 2017, a measly three years before it took place.

Dr. Fauci shared his foresight with medical peers at a Georgetown forum when he stated, “There will be a surprise outbreak during Trump’s first term.”

Fauci’s prediction wasn’t conjured from the alignment of the stars and planets, or a passage lifted out of the Bible. No. He didn’t develop any such gift. Instead, he arrived at his foresight by steering the financing of zoonotic viruses “gain-of-function” research. In 2018, he joined the World Health Organization’s (WHO) new unit, Global Preparedness Monitoring Board (GPMB) to be hands-on with pandemic planning, a full year after his “prophecy.” He likely advised or took part in the development of the World Bank’s first-ever “pandemic bond” the same year.

Moreover, Fauci also helped the GPMB write its first annual report that pronounced the drills, simulation, and release of at least one “lethal respiratory pathogen.”

Acid Blockers Make COVID-19 More Deadly

ANH-USA has submitted a Citizens Petition to the FDA concerning the increased risk of pneumonia that is associated with proton pump inhibitor (PPI) medications for acid reflux. This effect has been documented for a number of years, yet the agency has so far refused to update these drugs’ label warning to reflect this danger. This side effect is especially concerning given the current pandemic, which attacks the respiratory system. It is time to force the FDA’s hand.

These widely prescribed drugs (Prilosec and Prevacid are popular brand names) block the production of stomach acid and are used to treat heartburn and GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). PPIs have been linked with increased risk of pneumonia  which is of particular concern with COVID-19 and the respiratory damage that characterizes advanced cases.

The mechanism by which PPIs cause pneumonia is not fully understood, but one theory is that they compromise the stomach’s “acid mantle” against gastric colonization of bacteria.  Normally, gastric pH is around 2, which effectively limits bacterial colonization from ingested microbes; PPIs increase this pH to above 4 for approximately 24 hours, compromising this natural defense mechanism. PPIs may also lead to delayed gastric emptying, increased gastric contents, larger bacterial loads, and increased pressure on the lower esophageal sphincter, causing reflux that brings bacteria back up into the respiratory tract and thus increases the likelihood of infection. Another theory is that PPIs reduce the acidity of the upper digestive tract which results in increased bacterial colonization of the larynx, esophagus, and lungs.

‘How Could the CDC Make That Mistake?’

The government’s disease-fighting agency is conflating viral and antibody tests, compromising a few crucial metrics that governors depend on to reopen their economies. Pennsylvania, Georgia, Texas, and other states are doing the same.

https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2020/05/cdc-and-states-are-misreporting-covid-19-test-data-pennsylvania-georgia-texas/611935/

We’ve learned that the CDC is making, at best, a debilitating mistake: combining test results that diagnose current coronavirus infections with test results that measure whether someone has ever had the virus.

So one group of "scientists" promotes one view and another group of "scientists" contradicts.  Doesn't that just add to the confusion?

The conflict supports my belief that what we call science these days is not precise and exact.  What we call science these days is heavily laden with speculation and guessing.

There are numerous documented cases where large groups of people have contracted C19, traced to specific social and public events and individual, seemingly asymptomatic carriers.

It is highly unlikely that every single one of those affected were all handling the same droplet covered object(s) or even in direct contact with the same individual.

Again, speculaltion and guessing (highly unlikely?).  I appreciate your position and your choice to believe.  I was responding your opening claim of airborne but the article clearly states there is conflict among the scientists with some claiming and some denying or at least stating it's unproven.
