Author Of Dystopian Classics Predicted 'Use Of Face Masks To Enforce Conformity' 70 Years Ago
Respected German author Ernst Jünger predicted the ubiquitousness of face masks to enforce conformity and uniformity in a dystopian future society in a novel called The Worker that was published nearly 90 years ago.

Another promising development: University of Pittsburgh scientists discover antibody that 'neutralizes' virus that causes COVID-19 "“Ab8 not only has potential as therapy for COVID-19, but it also could be used to keep people from getting SARS-CoV-2 infections,” said co-author John Mellors, chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Pitt and UPMC. “Antibodies of larger size have worked against other infectious diseases and have been well tolerated, giving us hope that it could be an effective treatment for patients with COVID-19 and for protection of those who have never had the infection and are not immune.”" https://www.foxnews.com/health/university-pittsburgh-antibody-neutralizes-coronavirus

I miss playing cards with OSS and crew.
Speaking of which, my Dad is also missing his card games. His activity level as drecreased a lot over the last 6 months. He used to walk across the pool for two hours every morning. It's a pretty big pool. He'd then sit and talk and dry off before going into the adjacent coffee shop for lunch. Afternoons are spent reading yesterdays New York Post that he gets delivered in Delray Beach, then out for dinner or home for dinner and card games. Once a week he went for breakfast with a group of guys who grew up in his old neighborhood. But all this has stopped since mid March.
They finally re-opened the pool, but you have to sign a waver and only allowed a small amount of people for 45 minutes. He hears sign a waiver and it frieghtens him right away. Then he got mad because you have to sign up for one 45 minute slot only. They haven't re-opened to club house so they don't play cards and no shows. They're afraid of going to each others houses to socialize. They don't out for dinner. I feel bad for him and I can tell he's very lonely.
This is going on for 6 months now. 6 months to the elderly is like forever.
This sucks.
This is a man made catastrophe that was unleashed on the world by the communist party of China. (what segway?) Whether it was an accident or on purpose shouldn't matter any more. The death toll around the world, the livelihoods lost around the world, the economies that took huge hits around the world, shear inconvenience to everyone's lives around the entire G_D DAM_ED world is exponentially worse than any other issue the world is facing right now.
And what do we have to listen too? ? ? ? It's Trump's fault. Ooh he lied and said it was mild when it was moderate, then he said it was moderate when it was severe. Biden from the basement blaming Trump as well. And the rest of these lackies like Pelosi, et al, lamenting that Trump didn't do anything right, yet THEY at no time ever, presented a better plan. And if they had a plan, then THEY are responsible for all the deaths they let happen by not coming forward with it.
THAT'S our leaders. Instead of going after the murdering communist party of China, they try to make you believe that WE got it wrong. That the orange man got it wrong, not the yellow man.
Heaven help us.

I just found out my long term primary doctor that I'd been told had retired, actually died of complications from COVID-19 back in early July.
(And yes, he had a lot of other medical issues, but COVID is what finally opened the door to let the grim reaper in.)
Sucks. I'm picky on my doctors, gonna be a real PITA to find another that I like.

I’ve mentioned this a couple times in other threads and probably this one but I’ll say it again. On a worldwide scale The USA was part of The WHO and so was China as well as over 100 other countries. On the subject of WORLD HEALTH we are all dependent on the open, honest reporting of all health issues and possible crises that arise within the boarders of an individual country as a participating member of The WHO. All countries are dependent upon full disclosure from any country experiencing health issues which have world wide implications. From the early stages of C-19 the media had broadcast video clips the steps China was taking to sanitize their public spaces but we were being told by China and The WHO this was not a worldwide concern, that China was taking extreme measures to contain/control and mitigate the virus. We were also told C-19 was not an airborne virus. The USA was given false information by China and The WHO for over a month which is well documented in so many television discussions with experts from every television station early on. As a member of The WHO, we operate under the premise that all information provided is accurate and reliable. We were not permitted to just fly our scientists to China and China refused our assistance when it was offered. How were our scientists suppose to examine this virus if we were unable to obtain real (not mutated or different strains) samples in that first month of January as well as any other research scientists do? We got to this point because of the coverup by China and The WHO to help China save face and not have worldwide consequences against their country. China lied and The WHO swore to it. That’s how we got here.

Ya know Brit England has been imposing some draconian laws in respect to individual freedoms and did you hear what Australia is doing? A new bill is expected to be debated by the Victorian government in the State Parliament this week. It gives local authorities the power to detain "conspiracy theorists" and people who refuse to self-isolate, reported Caldron Pool. If passed, the COVID-19 Omnibus (Emergency Measures) allows the government to detain anyone labeled as a "high risk" or likely to spread COVID-19 negligently.

It's election season. I'll stay out of the whole conversation until after the elections are over. While many of you already know how I'll be voting, I don't want to give any wrong impressions that any posts I make in the meantime are politically influenced.

A DARPA-Funded Implantable Biochip To Detect COVID-19 Could Hit Markets By 2021 The most significant scientific discovery since gravity has been hiding in plain sight for nearly a decade and its destructive potential to humanity is so enormous that the biggest war machine on the planet immediately deployed its vast resources to possess and control it, financing its research and development through agencies like the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and HHS’ BARDA. Once firmly implanted inside the body, human cells are at the mercy of any mRNA program delivered via this substrate, unleashing a nightmare of possibilities. The revolutionary breakthrough came to a Canadian scientist named Derek Rossi in 2010 purely by accident. The now-retired Harvard professor claimed in an interview with the National Post that he found a way to “reprogram” the molecules that carry the genetic instructions for cell development in the human body, not to mention all biological lifeforms. These molecules are called ‘messenger ribonucleic acid’ or mRNA and the newfound ability to rewrite those instructions to produce any kind of cell within a biological organism has radically changed the course of Western medicine and science, even if no one has really noticed yet. As Rossi, himself, puts it: “The real important discovery here was you could now use mRNA, and if you got it into the cells, then you could get the mRNA to express any protein in the cells, and this was the big thing.” https://www.mintpressnews.com/darpa-covid-19-vaccine-implant-mrna/271287/Hydrogel is a nanotechnology whose inventor early on boasted that “If [it] pans out, with approval from FDA, then consumers could get the sensors implanted in their core to measure their levels of glucose, oxygen, and lactate.” This contact lens-like material requires a special injector to be introduced under the skin where it can transmit light-based digital signals through a wireless network like 5G.

They'll probably suggest the best places to implant them will be on the palms and forehead. Regardless, no. Just no.

"As for man, there is little reason to think that he can in the long run escape the fate of other creatures, and if there is a biological law offlux and reflux, his situation is now a highly perilous one. During ten thousand years his numbers have been on the upgrade in spite of wars, pestilences, and famines. This increase in population has become more and more rapid. Biologically, man has for too long a time been rolling an uninterrupted run of sevens." George R. Stewart, 1949 "The new field of virus research is really in its infancy and much remains to be accomplished. Certain basic and fundamental problems relating to the mode of virus reproduction and mutation have taken definite form. Solution of these problems should yield information of great value to biology, chemistry, genetics and medicine. This new field of research has been laid upon a very broad foundation, for the present status of virus research has been achieved by contributions from almost every branch of science. It is likely that a continuation and extension of the application of weapons from many fields of science will be necessary for the proper and full development of the new field of virus research." Wendell M. Stanley, Nobel Prize, 1947 "Still workin' on it"-Me, 2020

Walked up to my local WalMart. The barriers are gone. The attendance monitors are gone. Both entrances are open.
Customers are exiting maskless. Not removing a mask. Maskless.
I enter the store and see there are maskless at the self check out, at the attended check out, walking in the store.
I put my mask into my pocket. If someone has an issue I'll put it on. Keep life simple.
I then notice that the aisles are now two way. The one way/do not enter floor signs are gone.
The keep 6ft apart signs are still in place.
The staff are all masked.

And that's the way it WAS here in KC until our governor decreed otherwise in July.

I make up my own mind...based on the math. 204,026/330,000,000 = 0.0006 or 0.06% chance of dying. I’ll take those odds any day of the week, month, year or lifetime.

Go away with your sweeping statements. Again you make yourself a fool.
