Not sure that this trend will play out across America, but interesting nonetheless.

In 9 days, COVID-19 killed more NJ residents than the flu does in a year

https://nj1015.com/in-9-days-covid-19-killed-more-nj-residents-than-the-flu-does-in-a-year/

false reports, since cdc has told hospitals to list all deaths as c-19 even if they are not sure and no testing was done.

"Issued March 24, the guidance tells hospitals to list COVID-19 as a cause of death regardless of whether or not there’s actual testing to confirm that’s the case."

https://www.westernjournal.com/cdc-tells-hospitals-list-covid-cause-death-even-just-assuming-contributed/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=PostTopSharingButtons&utm_campaign=websitesharingbuttons

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvss/coronavirus/Alert-2-New-ICD-code-introduced-for-COVID-19-deaths.pdf

You need to read the CDC guidance a LOT more closely. COVID-19 code u07.1 will be used ONLY if it is a probable cause. It would be totally rediculous to assign that code on a heart attack (as one example), or gunshot wounds.

Exactly, mr. 98 can't help himself though.  Gotta spread those conspiracy theories as fast as possible and misinformation or flat out lies. Why do you do this to us? Do you not read what you post or check it? Or do you just not care you are spreading misinformation?

I try to empathize, I think he truly believes the stuff he posts, so from his point of view he's the one that's got it right trying tirelessly to educated all of us misguided folks.

from the CDC site, or now the CDC site is a fake site because I posted it?

COVID-19 should be reported on the death certificate for all decedents where the disease caused or is ASSUMED to have caused or contributed to death.

U know what happens when one assumes?

do u believe a State senator who also is a doctor?

Dr. Scott Jensen is both a physician and a Minnesota state senator. Yesterday he was interviewed by a local television station and dropped a bombshell: he, and presumably all other Minnesota doctors, got a seven-page letter from the Minnesota Department of Health that gave guidance on how to classify COVID-19 deaths. The letter said that if a patient died of, e.g., pneumonia, and was believed to have been exposed to COVID-19, the death certificate should say that COVID-19 was the cause of death even though the patient was never tested, or never tested positive, for that disease.

Dr. Jensen found this to be irregular and contrary to the usual practice for filling out death certificates. It seems intended to inflate the number of Wuhan flu deaths; it is hard to see any other potential purpose. The most entertaining thing about the exchange is the shock expressed by the interviewer. Here is the video:

Then I would say the hospital is not following the direction of the CDC memo on the cause of death code.

Pelosi: There’s ‘No Data’ As To Why American Small Businesses Might Need More Money Now

She’s got hers so she doesn’t care what businesses go under or who loses their jobs in the meantime. This is her excuse for Democrats voting down giving more money to the small business loan program.

And this kind of ridiculous overreach is what I'm worried about when some tin-pot dictators let the power go to their heads...

Church has service where the congregation are sitting in their own cars in the parking lot listening to the preacher over the radio.

The cops come and write everyone present a ticket for $500.

Every single one of those people should plead not guilty and demand a trial.  Believe me that will put a stop to that crap.  Even if they are (ultimately) convicted, since the car in the church parking lot is probably not one of the listed exemptions for state lock down, the judges do not want that much business right now (even for revenue generation).

So three armed intruders break into your house, and they expire of coronavirus?

Infection, incubation and terminal at 1300 feet per second.

That's a good deal for homeowners.

But I still recommend the dumpster behind the auto parts (if there's no camera).

well got word today from President of company we all MUST take off week off in his email letter.  Then,  idiots in charge must have all of a sudden today 3 hours later send to us all that is NOT 1 week in April which everyone thought but 3-4 weeks off and on and off and on again and again 1 week increments for all of us thru end of May drawing unemployment for those 3-4 weeks off unpaid.   Wish mgmt. would get their crap straight and tell us the truth upfront vs. changing their minds?   uglystupid2

oh yah,  big shot said that all directors and higher ups will be taking drastic pay cuts next few months.  oh boo hoo,  so taking away 100K of their 200K plus feel so sorry for all those in dire need making ends meet with only 100K income.

Me and boss had it out today still wanted to work from home me holding down the fort ONLY ONE going to be in working IN THE OFFICE the weeks I have to work EVERY single one else stay at home supposedly working - yah right.  I asked my boss why cannot I take home all the file folders needed to do my job and live without a printer so I can work from home as state of WI suggests?  She being stupid said is all confidential information MUST stay at work in the office.  I said to her is BS wanna bet all the big shots take confidential accounts and info. home all the time.  She needs to go to her supervisor and she will not since she is dumb and plain ignorant.  My wife does very similar work but to a higher treasury level and they let her bring home a whole copy paper box of confidential folders with accounts and banking info. on them.  I could raise a stink and go above her head to HR mgr. which I should seeing as how I can effectively work from home since all by myself doing it all if only the file folders I take home is all I need having dollar figures on them and accounts.    If the state of WI wants us to stay home and work and can technically do it,  why not do as they suggest?   uglystupid2  My boss is such a _itch she makes me puke just hearing her voice speak to anyone.   Angry

good news is after work today got an hr interview at another company closer to home making 4 bucks per hour more than what making now.  I think I nailed that HR interview for she said she is sending me a BS behavior/personality survey to fill out thru email at home.  Nowadays if not having inside connections you gotta suck up to get another job telling HR and others what they want to hear vs. the real truth.  Sure hope I get it but hr mgr. said in interview will be for sure end of May even into June before hiring is activated so not like that is a set in stone good thing as well?  They are in the property mgmt./hotel business so that NOT good as well with a lot of places closed down the HR lady said 2 new hotels were suppose to open soon are shut down on hold for a long time so that not good either.  Then again,  why not jump ships since will take me 8 more years (if ever) to get 4 dollar pay increase and not like the company I work for gives a rats _ss about their employees anyways as evident by 5 people out of about 15 in my dept. leaving in little over 1 year with 3 of the 5 very good workers, the other 2 deserved to be fired anyways.

Coronavirus Devastates Italy: Is It the Result of Globalism and Free Trade?

https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2020/04/09/coronavirus-devastates-italy-result-globalism-and-free-trade/

‘Why Have We Shut Down The Country?’ Ex-New York Times Reporter Challenges The Dire Coronavirus Models

A coronavirus model that the White House has heavily relied upon has again dropped the number of projected deaths and hospitalizations. Last week, the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington projected 93,531 deaths. On Sunday, the IMHE lowered its estimated to 81,766 deaths. Then on Wednesday, the projection dropped the estimated total deaths to 60,415.

So, what does it all mean?

The U.S. has the highest number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the world, with more than 435,000 cases and nearly 15,000 deaths. But projections from White House officials just a week ago – heavily covered by the mainstream media – put the death toll at 100,000 to 240,000 (a far cry from the 60,000 or so projected by the IMHE).

Alex Berenson, former New York Times reporter who worked for “the paper of record” from 1999 to 2010, has been doing his own analysis of the ever-changing models and offered some thoughts in a Fox News interview.

Berenson has been questioning the numbers for some time. He first challenged the model from the Imperial College in London, which initially said 500,000 Britons would die. The authors of the model later pushed the projection all the way down to 20,000 (right now there are fewer than 8,000 deaths).

This one is interesting to me, on two fronts..... First the obvious that if the numbers pan out than there are roughly 5 infected people for every one confirmed infected; but also the tech that we can analyze sewer water to find out the amount of a specific virus is in it is pretty amazing.....

Scary on some fronts, but amazing.....

(I can almost see some of our more.....concerned.....members quickly switching to septic systems to avoid having their waste products analyzed.)

They may have trace elements of DNA , but if heat kills the virus , grey water (sewer fluid)  hot.
In the break down of the waste , a sewer line is hot but not boiling. It is hotter than the human body.
So , I guess the virus is in deep poop.

Right, they say there's no danger from what they're finding in the sewer, just interesting that the amount they're finding is far higher than they should be finding given the known number of infected people...

They may have trace elements of DNA , but if heat kills the virus , grey water (sewer fluid)  hot.
In the break down of the waste , a sewer line is hot but not boiling. It is hotter than the human body.
So , I guess the virus is in deep poop.

FYI
how the Navy defines them and separates them on ships with different piping systems.
homes all goes the same place so black water.

black water is from toilets and urinals aka sewage.
gray water is from sinks, showers, washing machines, etc.

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/only-half-of-drugs-removed-by-sewage-treatment/

Only about half of the prescription drugs and other newly emerging contaminants in sewage are removed by treatment plants.

That’s the finding of a new report by the International Joint Commission, a consortium of officials from the United States and Canada who study the Great Lakes.

The impact of most of these “chemicals of emerging concern” on the health of people and aquatic life remains unclear. Nevertheless, the commission report concludes that better water treatment is needed.

“The compounds show up in low levels – parts per billion or parts per trillion – but aquatic life and humans aren’t exposed to just one at a time, but a whole mix,” said Antonette Arvai, physical scientist at the International Joint Commission and the lead author of the study. “We need to find which of these chemicals might hurt us.”

I can not speak for other states but as an attorney dealing in MANY probate and administration matters
Death Certificates cross my desk.

In almost 40 years of this, this is what you would expect to see as an example
Cause of death      cardiac arrest
secondary to       coronary artery disease, diabetes

Perhaps G-Man or one of our other doctors can verify this but Covid 19 is never to be the CAUSE of death

It is a contributing factor leading to the pneumonia or heart attack often as the body dies from inability to get oxygen due to the concrete in the lungs

I am seeing more and more unconstitutional stuff going on, denials of due process, lack of equal protection, shutting down medical debate, loss of ability of doctors to treat as they deem fit

The government is there to serve us, it is not, it is dangerous, more dangerous than this covid itself

we must be wary, protect ourselves in all manners possible and question everything from both sides

make that all sides there are more than 2 sides to this

Gary, If I were a dr I would rx whatever I thought was best and go to court to squash like a bug the authority that tells me otherwise after my arrest

You are right on the money Evan on death certificates.   cooldude

The certificate will say cause of death was... blunt force trauma and skull fracture.

Not motorcycle riding.

eloquent comparison of regular flu to kungflu:

...instead of gentle waves of cases cascading across the country over a span
of six months, like the flu, a tidal wave of Covid-19 cases has swept over a
handful of cities in half the time. The concentration of quickly amassing serious
infections overwhelmed the affected areas, and the fear is that without social
distancing—for now the only effective intervention—other places will have a
similar experience...

Social distancing?  We don't need no steenking social distancing!

Macho’ attitude in Number 10 led to coronavirus entering Downing Street, claims Tory MP

At the start of March journalists were turning out for daily briefings, the presenters were not following social distancing, and the prime minister was still attending large events.

He was also notably telling people he was shaking all of their hands in a hospital where coronavirus had struck.

Also, more on the tidal wave.  The overwhelming nature of COVID is what leads to this.  Not flu for sure.

Scientists warn White House coronavirus will likely continue through summer

Copy of their April 7 letter here.
https://www.nap.edu/read/25771/chapter/1

“Given that countries currently in ‘summer’ climates, such as Australia and Iran, are experiencing rapid virus spread, a decrease in cases with increases in humidity and temperature elsewhere should not be assumed,” according to the letter.

Dr. David Relman, an infectious disease specialist at Stanford University and author of the letter, later noted that while it is not yet summer in Iran, the key takeaway is that disease activity has not correlated well with ambient temperature and humidity.

“Even in the USA, take for example, New Orleans where this past month has averaged in the mid 70s to mid 80s, disease has exploded there during this time versus other more northern cities with much cooler temperatures,” he told CNN in an email.

The letter also notes that while flu typically is seasonal, that’s not necessarily the case when there’s a new strain of the flu and very few individuals have any immunity.

New strains of flu have broken out in warm and cold weather, and then there’s been a second wave about six months later.
