For the money you would spend, you could buy an 1800 and keep the 1500, and be even or money ahead.
Not worth it unless you want the punishment, and time lost riding.

Oke from Finland has completed and I am still working on an EFI conversion for our 1500's
 It should be noted that this is really an academic exercise ,for the most part, even though it is amazing that GL1800 parts can be fit to our engines. I figure that it still would be between $1500 and $1800 to get it fully operational... and the only real benefit would be to not have to ever deal with 6 carbs and all that goes into maintaining them.....but more technology means less simplicity and more chance for harder to solve problems.
