I recently had an "elective" procedure to check my health status due to my medical history.
To get this "elective" procedure, I was required to get a COVID 19 test. OK, no problem, everyone admitted is given this test. It wasn't the most pleasant thing I've ever done but, it wasn't terrible. Sinus cavity swab and blood test.
Did the nasal/sinus thing and was cleared for the procedure. Have never been infected with the COVID 19 virus.
After the procedure, I was informed that my clinic had been selected to research/test 400 people in the "high risk" category for the new (soon to be released) vaccine. Half the group selected will receive a placebo, the other half, the real vaccine.
I was asked if I would be interested because, I'm in the specific category that is at the highest risk of dying from the virus.
I already made my decision but, am curious as to what others (you) would do.

As you know Kathy and myself both have the virus. We are on the down side of it and took the medicine that was recommended by our President. While Kathy couldn't take the zinc she still recovered and doing well. Me I feel like I never had it. They are way over killing this. Yes it affects people in different ways. But it is a virus like other virus. I would never take the vaccine. Took much lack of knowledge of side effects how well it works. Will not be genie pig for them. No long term testing yet to see how well the tracking implant works. I'm old school and sounds too much like the mark of the beast. David

No way will I take this poison. I have suspicion that I had and recovered from this thing already however I have never had any tests.
It’s my belief that this virus will for the most part burn itself out but until then many more people will get it no matter what we do. Just like any virus. The masks and social distancing might have been a small help early in an effort to mitigate the infection rate. But now we have the equipment and the knowledge of how to treat it. We don’t need to live in fear masked up and all. Just be smart about what you touch and who you hang around with.

This is basically a more dangerous regular flu. If the only reason you are alive is because of modern medicine, I would be worried. I mean that seriously, if you can't live without taking pills all the time or something like that then this virus very well could kill you. I"m shocked at how many people are diabetic? Apparently this virus likes to kill those people. If it was me with high risk, I would go for it. I've been places in the world where the people have all sorts of old school sickness and I'm fine with vaccines, they do what they are meant to do. I don't think a new vaccine would be dangerous but it very well could do nothing. Fun thing I read a few days ago. It's possible a vaccine may not be able to made for this virus. In that case the end result will be the virus will run around killing off people until the weak are all dead.

My neighbors got it, two out of 5 of them. At least two felt sick so they got tested. They had it. The other 3 in the house had no reason to get tested. All 5 of them very well may had it but some people aren't effected. The two that had it felt weak for a few days and that was it.

I don't like cell phones for that reason right there. A cell phone is a tracer, Stalin could have only dreamed of such a device. Interestingly the CB has made a come back where I am in the younger people. They seemed to have figured out cell phones are tracking devices. Not sure if that's a good thing or not? It's a surprise to see the whip antenna back in use. LOL.

No. But I would ask how many of the medical staff intend to be part of that study. Do not forget: According to a recent study by Johns Hopkins, more than 250,000 people in the United States die every year because of medical mistakes, making it the third leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer.
So you've got a better chance of surviving the virus than the medicos.

Was thinking about hospital till we both started taking the medicine. I think I could have beat it without the medicine, but why not try it. I try to stay fit and healthy, but that is not good enough. So I gave my life to the lord and whatever he has for me I know that I'm will be ok no matter what happens. This is a problem, I'm torn. I've never been a fan of vaccines, never had a flu shot.
Had there been a vaccine for HPV [ I guess there's still not one for adult males] I wish I'd taken one. Would have probably saved me a whole lot of aggravation.
So, as much as I dislike things like this, if I was at risk, I'd probably go for it.

Me too, for those kids under age 5, do NOT for a buck stick your tongue in the winter on a metal pole. A buck bought a lot of things back in the early 70s..... No, I would not volunteer to take whatever they had to give out not worth the hastle nor risk to me.

No there is no HPV for adult females or males, too late at that point. There is one for young males and it's covered under insurance now. My kids have had HPV vaccines, solves a bunch of possible future problems.

I would say no for this virus.
The overview of this is that I'm seeing this Covid thing being politically leveraged to a degree I've never seen before.
There are legit questions as to the severity of this virus.
The stats are either skewed or presented in misleading ways. Do we ever get daily recovery rates? No. Why not?
There are apparent therapies and medications that are said to be successful in treating this virus. Yet politicians decree bans or restrictions on their use.
Our scientist and politicians clearly don't understand this virus as the recommendations (wear a mask, don't wear a mask, social distancing except for approved protests, no public drinking fountains but public toilets are OK, etc_) change frequently.
There is just so much discombobulation about this virus I can't trust or have confidence in this particular vaccine.

If asked to participate in an experiment, I would need compelling reasons to join in. A developed vaccine? I would get it.
Our church has a cemetery. One member, a local historian, knows the history of most of the folks in those graves. So many children's graves are due to measles. Many young adult graves are due to influenza. And, my grandfather, a railroad engineer and football player, died of polio before I was born. We don't bury people like we used to. It is a reminder that vaccines work. I get them.
we take much for granted these days.

I would do it. The sooner we have an effective vaccine, the sooner life will get back to (somewhat) normal. The Gates tracking device is an added bonus; who knows when I might ride my motorcycle over an embankment and not be found otherwise.

My immediate answer is no.
And would remain so unless I had a much greater chance of doing from the virus than the vaccine.
I have no desire to take an experimental vaccine.
But then Some of my health issues were likely caused by an experimental drug that the Army forced me to take during Desert Storm.

At my age I probably will. I've known several people who had it and some were very sick. Statistically we may expose ourselves to more risk by riding motorcycles.
My son worked on a drill ship off the coast of Nigeria a few years ago. He was required to have a bunch of vaccines, and had to take hydroxychloroquine during and after the trip. He never had a reaction to any of them. You can catch some pretty nasty stuff in Africa and I can't imagine travelling there without being vaccinated.

Yup... 7 injections before I could go to Gabon, and one of them, Yellow Fever, if you don't have paperwork proving you've had that vaccine at customs you have two choices - Get the vaccine right then and there or turn around and go home.

That reminds me of a comment from someone who used to post here frequently. OR well armed either. I had the yellow fever twice; once in the proper half doses, and the other all at one time. All three times, I had mild (but sickly feverish) yellow fever that afternoon.

The vaccine is a DNA changing vaccine that works by injecting RNA. Do you really want any human to mess with your RNA? I know no man without trial and error that I would trust and we have not tested this to that extent.

The proposed DNA vaccine does not mess with nor change your DNA in any way. "This means that, in contrast to the more widespread “conventional” vaccines ( here ) which use a whole pathogen or fragment, a DNA vaccine involves the injection of a small part of the virus’s genetic code (DNA or RNA) to stimulate immune response in a patient without an infection ( here )." https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-factcheck-covid-19-vaccine-modify/false-claim-a-covid-19-vaccine-will-genetically-modify-humans-idUSKBN22U2BZ

I agree with you in all but one thing. Daily stats on Covid-19 are available here: https://knowherenews.com/ I cannot say how accurate they are. I am convinced that nobody has that kind of information but at least some people are trying. Also, I just like this news source for it’s lack of editorial. Just the facts! Bigwolf
