My 2014 with about 1500 miles. Occasionally when I turn the key on, the dash lights up but you don't hear the fuel pump and when you hit the start switch, Nothing.
Sometimes does it when cold, when warmed up, every time I ride, then it won't happen for awhile.
All the connections seem tight and clean. I'll turn the key on and off, turn the kill switch on and off. All of a sudden you turn the key and the fuel pump kicks in and you are good to go.
Anyone???

The connections in the handlebar switches aren't the best. They might need a check for corrosion and connectivity. I've had this same problem after using the kill switch to shut off the bike instead of the key. You'll also find you high beam switch can do the same thing.

DO NOT USE THE KILL SWITCH.

The kill switch is for emergency use, use the key.

I accidently hit mine once, bike wouldn't start.

WD40 to the rescue.

The only time I use it is when I have to shutdown on a hill and I can't take my hands off the bars. It seldom happens, but each time I think, "here we go! 50/50 chance I just screwed myself."

Bonus is it always seems to happen when my wife is with me.

On a ride yesterday I stopped to make a phone call and barely brushed the kill switch when it quit. I might normally kill it with the kickstand, kill switch, or key, depending upon the circumstance. (They all do the same thing, removing power to the ignition, and each could be equally likely to fail after a bazillion cycles, so I have no preference. As I was distracted with the phone I didn't give it much thought until it wouldn't start. Checked the kickstand, the kill switch and the key, a little befuddled. After a couple of clicks of the kill switch it worked again.

The it happened again when I stopped for a photo op.  Kill switch for sure this time. I'd just washed it a few days ago, so maybe water in the switch? I'll hit it with LPS-1 to see if that helps.

Still under the extended warranty, so not too worried, but a little annoyed. Now I'll have that little bit of unease every time I ride...

Has anyone dissected theirs to see if there's water or corrosion? And has anyone had success with WD-40?

Common problem it was discussed in past posts and yes WD 40 works as a temporary fix. I put on some stuff in this link and until I disconnected the kill switch I had no problems again.

If you replace the switch it will only happen again and they really do not disassemble well at all and are so cheap its unbelievable.
