2 of them keep popping up in commercials and have peaked my interest. The one offered by Eric Thiess I believe is the XL. The other is offered by Emiril Legassi. The first one is about $150.00 and the 2nd one about $200.00. Does Anyone here have PERSONAL experience with either one? I'd prefer Real First hand Experience stead of Conjecture. Sides-I'm gittin Real Tired of the violence across the country and politics. And as Always-T I A.  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

We've had this one for several years and love it:

https://www.amazon.com/Power-Air-Fryer-XL-Quart/dp/B01M036C6E

ALMOST as good as "real" frying, without the oil.

Caveats - It gets greasy, even without adding any grease, so you gotta wash the basket pretty heavily pretty often. (We sometimes put a sheet of foil down to ease cleanup, but then you don't get quite as good air circulation.

Also, you'll need to tweak the cooking temps/times. We usually go about 1/4 of the way between the fryer directions and the oven directions for the best results.

Regularly do french fries, tater tots, onion rings, fried fish, fish sticks, chicken breasts, Korean Mandu, etc.....

Korean Mandu?

I think I stepped in some of that once.   Grin

As for bachelor short order cooking, I've been making great bacon in the oven, and now only in the toaster oven for a long time; much cleaner than stove-top.

I just discovered (if you like some potatoes with breakfast), if you just throw a small handful of frozen fries or tots on the bacon before going in the oven, they come out wonderfully (little greasy, but breakfast is supposed to be greasy, it's good for the heart).   Grin

Also, in a misguided effort to eat healthier, I bought a big bag (the only kind they have) of chicken or turkey sausages at the Costco.  Well, they tasted like crap.  BUT, if you throw one or two of those on the bacon going in the toaster oven, they become edible.

(Sorry for the drift on your air fryer thread Dennis).

Wife uses a Cosori  premium 3.7 quart model CP137-AF cost was 50 /70. Did not want to spend a lot. It works fine fries need some oil, salt, pepper and any spices you like, same with onion rings. She  does vegies as well and some chicken . I could live with out it but I am not the cook, taste is different.. In the hot summer she cooks outside in a small 110 oven. She uses the pellet grill for pies, bread, pizza all meats and potatos. Sure keeps the house cooler. We roast our hatch chilies on the gas grill and pellet grill.

have same exact one as Serk has got at Target on sale a year or two ago guessing clearing them out for like 80 bucks or so...  Use it about once weekly for chicken strips/french fries, etc.  I just put in enough for 2 people tops is all though if you try putting more in does not cook all around very well.  Gets done in the 15 minutes at 370 degrees I rarely mess with the temp/time setting if for 1-2 people.  I pull the pan out after about 10 minutes and shake/stir/flip food around the last 5 minutes or so seems to help.  Works overall well for 1-2 people hard to beat fully cooked fried food in 15 minutes start to finish.
