Fixing my front turn signals and I'm not sure what is stock. Basically I can run the running lights brighter or darker depending on what wires I connect. Not sure what is stock?

I'm done but I would like to know if I did it right? I went with darker running lights out of my two options. That make sense? My lights/plastic failed because of heat and age so now I'm kind of wonder if this bike's turn signal were fooled with? I had both turn signals break which makes me think someone may have made the running lights brighter by changing the stock wires?

Don't know just want to have the stock setup and be done with it.

Yes, the running lights will be dimmer (less draw and heat) the turn signals will flash brighter. This is stock set up as some bikes don’t cancel running lights when turning. You got it right.

As agreed, the running lights should be run on the low filament. The low filament wire is designated with a stripe on it (Honda, typical). If the previous owner replaced the front signals with aftermarket, the aftermarket signals don't follow the Honda wiring colors.

The bullet connectors were replaced on newer Honda bikes with a plug so there's no mix up (photo below). The hi filament uses 21 watts and I'd think the heat would fry the socket and make the signal lens brittle with the hi-filament constant ON in running light mode. Also, 21 watts on two front signals consumes 42 watts total. That's 80% of what a headlight uses on low beam (55/60). Really not a problem with the Valk's alternator, but it might be an issue if the battery every gets low.

OK, didn't notice the blue and orange wires have tracers on them. Just looked like two blues with a green and two orange with a green.

PO had them wired so the running lights were the brighter of the two. Both were like that so it must have been on purpose.

Only trouble I have had with this bike is lights. Had the turn signal and tail light breaker blow in heavy rain one day and haven't been able to figure out why that happened? Maybe the front turn signals had something to do with it? Everything is running right at the moment but the bike had a strobe license plate brake light which no long strobes. It still works as far as it gets brighter when I hit the breaks but it no longer strobes.

When I blew the fuses may have something to do with that or the other way around.
