Heard a tired and battered President, spent due to corruption and betrayal, try and fail to make a final plea to his own VP to do the right thing.
Saw a farce of democracy, pretending to have legitimacy, as house and senate tried to certify a rigged election.
Watched thousands of unarmed patriots shake the fences, breach the barriers, and enter the Capitol without harming a person.
Laughed and cheered as brave Americans calmly wandered the halls of power, sat in politicians chairs, and took selfies in the chamber, defying the corruption and corrupt politicians that fled the building in fear of being held accountable.
Wept as an unarmed woman was senselessly murdered in a building that belongs to the people.
Took in the surreal scenes of patriots quietly leave the building, without looting, burning, or defacing anything.
Heard the media lie and spin everything into the opposite of all it was, a circus of injustice and deception.
Saw a sitting President censured by politicians, censored by media, and banned from social media.
Watched the entirety of the Republican party call the patriots terrorists, praise the murder of a woman, and admonish every conservative American.
That was my January 6th, 2021

The best comment I saw in the news today went like this:
With all the Trump-presidency-is-illegitimate we watched for his whole term, all complete investigations and the impeachment found nothing. The left didn't like it, but they got fair closure of their issues through complete (and long) investigations.
We on the right know there was election fraud, but cannot (maybe ever) know if it was enough to actually swing the outcome. Despite numerous litigation attempts (mostly or entirely brought up short on procedure, none heard on the merits), we have no apparent clear investigation at all, and absolutely no closure on this extremely important issue (and probably never will). Then we see the presidency and both houses going to the enemy democrats. So for the first time we have a Trump rally going a little violent. But hundreds of thousands showed up, and only hundreds broke into the building and they only broke a few things, and vandalized nothing, and hurt no one..
I call that pretty good restraint. This time.

There may indeed have been a few antifa plants in the Trump crowd going in the building, but it was mostly Trumpers. It has been said the goofy guy in the horns was antifa, but it is also said he is a well known (weird) Trumper. That doesn't matter much.
Right and wrong still matter, but if you set about to undermine our democracy and fair elections, you should expect violence going forward. What happened today was not violence, it was just rowdy behavior. And entirely and completely justified. The clearly scared republican legislators standing up on TV calling the protesters terrorists and criminals should be deeply ashamed of themselves.
The poor (unarmed) female veteran was killed most certainly by a nervous capital policeman. It's very unfortunate, but really, given the entire events of the day it's remarkable as the only serious injury being reported. I am very sorry for her family's loss.

And I also monitor Parlor and https://thelibertydaily.comAnd even Newsmax is tilting more and more to the left as they have changed their programing schedule. I don't remember ONE person on here defending unlawful rioting. Yesterday was a bad day...for both sides. 4 people were killed. The one we know the most about was a 14 year vet with 4 tours of duty in Afghanistan. I don’t know whether or not she was an instigator during the day or what her intentions were but I will say this I’ve read many times on here how those of you who have served still consider your oath to defend The Constitution in place and relevant even though you are no longer active duty and I respect that. Maybe she had the same intention. What happened yesterday was bad. As far as the idiot with the fur and horns well a picture says a thousand words. I’ve read too many articles and can’t stomach the news right now, it makes me sick. While I understand the frustration of the people (I’m one of them) what went down yesterday was wrong on so many levels. If Antifa was involved in the ruckus inside the Capital we will never know for certain and at this point it doesn’t even matter anymore. The Air Force vet who died yesterday will forever be labeled as a traitor, an insurrectionist or worse and her 14 years and 4 tours of duty will be brushed aside as an afterthought. I feel bad for her family. I’ll end with this, the double standard by the media of all types, those in public offices and those people commenting on social media is sickening. |
