January is a Sunday month, but is the 3rd too early?  Will everyone be sufficiently recovered to ride?  Does anyone have gift goodies to install?  There's a certain Dallas v Philly game at 3:15 I'd bet some will want to watch.  Did anyone find a luxury suite at Cowboys Stadium in their stocking and want to host us all?  We could flip-flop the wrench party and monthly ride!

Accuweather (as of Tuesday night) says low of 32 Saturday night and high of 49 Sunday.  I'm game, weather permitting, but should we slide it to the 10th?

Comments?

Even tho I won't be at "Jerry World" to watch the game, I do plan to watch us clip the birds wings Sunday.
I guess that means the following Sunday would be my vote thank you very much.

Well, just to balance things out, I won't be able to attend on the 10th, so this Sunday would be better for me.

Dave,

With everything going on this weekend, maybe we should put this off.  I'm now planning on riding with Godfire on Saturday, so Sunday would be out for me.

Well now.  It looks as tho we need more voters.  Anybody wanna go for the 17th?
By-the-way, once we decide on a date, any ideas about location?

The 17th is the day of the January ride, but we can do whatever we want to do.

WOW is right, Doc.  We haven't seen you in so long I was beginning to wonder if I needed to produce my birth certificate to prove my eligibility to hold office!  Where do you want to go?  Do you think Joe can get a pass also?

Woe and Alas.

Looks like predictions of weather in the teens is keeping the wrenchers at bay.  I know the floor of my garage will just about freeze any liquid on contact.  Don't know about a levi covered butt..

Maybe things will look more inviting next week Dave?

Soooo, are we riding or wrenching?  If we are riding, I'm on my bike.  If we are wrenching, I'm on Joe's bike.  He is getting about 60 miles on a full tank of gas. Gotta be the petcock.  I have another one and need to change them out.  Unless you guys have some other suggestion, thought that was where we would start.

Have the vaccum lines been replaced?
I would suggest doing that at the same time as the petcock.
I like these?

If you go this route get all three, Caps, PV Assy, and HP Assy.

BTW, B.A.D is an expert at rebuilding petcocks.

If you can't laugh at yourself...   uglystupid2

There was a thread on the Tech Board the other day from a guy about to start his winter projects and his first question was how to drain the fuel from the tank with the tank off the bike.  I almost chimed in about how effective my technique is, but didn't want to confuse the poor guy.  So, I just giggled at myself.

Doc, +1 on the Red Eye Vacuum Line kits.  Do those at the same time - OEM Petcock, Pair Valve, 3 Caps.  While we're in there - Air Filter Element.  How old/new is your replacement petcock?  Does it need a Cover Set before installation?

Details re parts & part numbers can be found here.

As of Wednesday morning 6 Jan, the AccuWeather forecast for Sunday 10 Jan is low of 17 Saturday night and high of 49.  Sunday 17 Jan is low of 40 Saturday night and high of 50 (nothing frozen).

Well it doesn't matter now anyway about the dates.  Just got a call from Alabama.  I won't be going back to campus this weekend due to the weather.  Have to go next weekend (15 thru 17).  Why do these people think that a laboratory doing prostate exams and pap smears is more important than riding the Valk?  Some people need to get their priorities straight.  Oh well, once again, you guys have a good time.  I'll ride with you again sometime before I age beyond the point of riding.
