The New Jersey is in Camden NJ. Probably a nice ride destination Smiley

Not if it's in New Jersey.

I think he was kidding.

The last time I was in NJ, it was a mistake (riding my 2d Valk home), lost in freeway madness.  I got off and turned around and went right back out the way I came.

That was a close one.

Come to think of it, that was the only time.

(Now it's true I live in VA, and people who live in glass houses should not walk around naked while stoned.  (or something like that)

Being honest, I have to ask why?   We all live where we've decided to live.
There are always reasons but, we have the final decision.
I lived a lot of places I would have rather not lived there but did so because circumstances dictated it.

Even though I'm retired, the same is true.   Different reasons but, they still exist.   I don't feel sorry for anyone living anywhere, it's their decision to be and stay there.

Well another Iowa Class (the Missouri) is at Pearl Harbor.... Probably a better ride, but that trip across the pond may take awhile  Grin

The USS Iowa is in LA or in some god for saken city in southern Cal, the USS Wisconsin is in Norfolk VA (well worth visiting) probably the one Iowa Class with suburb material condition readiness still.

I used to work in a software shop for AT&T in Golden.  They packed up the shop and were moving it to HQ in NJ.  They offered us to keep our jobs if we moved to the armpit of the east coast.  Or stay here in our Rocky Mountain High paradise, accept 3 months separation pay and assistance to find another job.  Hmm lemme think about that.  For like 3 seconds.

Sidebar, a team from HQ flew out for training on their new jobs.  We took them to Evergreen - Willy Nelson's town in the foothills, ranch he lost for back taxes - for lunch at a rustic cafe on the west end of Evergreen Lake, by the golf course.  Beautiful log cabin cafe, Evergreen Lake House, excellent lunch & venue - the kind of superb dining only locals know.  On the way there we took the scenic drive behind the hogback ridge, past RedRocks music amphitheater and the Park - very impressive natural beauty drive, then up Bear Creek road along the babbling brook.  Fabulous twisty drive.  One of those Jersey natives asked "Hey, WHERE'S THE BUILDINGS?  Look at all this WASTED SPACE."  Unbelievable.  I said "Do us a favor - don't move here."  Of course the californicators moved here instead and ruined our state anyways.
