if the drain tubes are still on the individual drain spouts, they join into a larger tube and drains here ......

On the bottom of the float bowls, are screws. On the corner of the float bowl. With a PROPER screwdriver, just crack them open.......and the gas will run out....
They CAN be reached without taking anything apart.......
My Bike no longer has all those hoses connected. When I did my "Desmog", I took all those off also. I wanted as much "plumbing" gone as possible, just to clean things up. Old school I am.....and have a LOT less rotted rubber hanging on the bike.
So mine drain onto the engine and everywhere else. But still worth it. Gas evaporates.....
When I know I am planning on draining them, I try to run as much fuel out as I can first.....with the petcock off.

i've been thinking about temporarily putting back the spider (old tube set) to drain the bowls. I still have them.
