if the drain tubes are still on the individual drain spouts, they join into a larger tube and drains here ......

On the bottom of the float bowls,  are screws.  On the corner of the float bowl.   With a PROPER screwdriver, just crack them open.......and the gas will run out....

They CAN be reached without taking anything apart.......

My Bike no longer has all those hoses connected.  When I did my "Desmog", I took all those off also.  I wanted as much "plumbing" gone as possible, just to clean things up. Old school I am.....and have a LOT less rotted rubber hanging on the bike.

So mine drain onto the engine and everywhere else.  But still worth it.  Gas evaporates.....

When I know I am planning on draining them, I try to run as much fuel out as I can first.....with the petcock off.

i've been thinking about temporarily putting back the spider (old tube set) to drain the bowls. I still have them.
