For those who really knew the score back in the day:

The eagle now has no wings.

RIP, Gale. Your work with the marque shall live on.

You can shed tears that he is gone
or you can smile because he has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all he's left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him
or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him and only that he's gone
or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what he'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

I really hope he knew just what he started. Friendships, millions of miles ridden and shared by folks who have a common interest and a common love, passed on to the next generation  and still going!
I never met the man but I know he was special.

After the death of OZ, co-founder of the VRCC US, to whom so many people are indebted, I am coming to you as the spokeman for the French club Fan Six Club which gathers a lot of owners of Valkyrie 1500, 1800 and Rune.

We would like to express our sadness to you and ask you to convey all our thoughts of support to his family. We are sure that where he is, he now occupies a place of choice and that the roads are a permanent invitation to endless rides.

As others have said, I never met the gentlemen.  But I firmly believe (from what I have seen and hear)  what Britman has stated above is what he would want.

Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
