I recently bought a big bike things lightbar from a fellow rider.  It did not come with any hardware to mount it.  It looks like spacers are needed.  Can somebody share what they have?

Big Bike Things or Big Bike Parts?

I think both are still in business.

If the former, send Barry an e-mail; he's in New Zealand.

If the latter, check out their website and see if they have a downloadable manual.

Hope this helps.

I just bought the lightbar from Big Bike Things Barry in New Zealand.  Haven't received the bar yet but should have it this week.  Just got an email from Barry about the install, He said simply remove the two nuts (13mm) off the headlight bucket through bolts.  The brackets sits right on those bolts under the headlight.  Just put the 13mm nuts back on and tighten.  I could copy the email and send to you if you like just give me your email.  Or contact Barry through his website..  He did say he was about to leave for a while on a trip.

It's big bike things, and I thought they were out of business.  Thanks for the correction.  I'll email him.  I haven't removed the headlight bucket yet, but holding it in place, it doesn't look like it will fit directly under.  I thought it had to go under the cross member.

It mounts the same way as the National Cycle bar does.

Update on the lightbar.
I finally got the package delivered.  4 weeks from New Zealand to Texas.  Seems like everything is slower these days.  I won't got there.

The bar is great.  Highly polished and clean.  Real quality. Thats why I wanted it.  Solid and sturdy.
The brackets sent are quality and mount right up to the light bucket mounting bolts.  Super simply.

Here is where I had a bump in the road.  When the light bar is bolted on it puts the mounting holes for the lights right under the windshield on my 1998 Tourer.  Could not get the LED lights mounted due to no clearance between the back of the light and the windshield.   I had already purchased a pair of quality LED's so I wanted to make those work.   I bought them on Amazon.  They are 4.5 inch

So I pulled out some 1/8 aircraft aluminum I had in the toolbox and crafted two small bracket extensions.  I mounted the lights on the bar and got it all connected.  I am really happy with the bar and lights.  See attached pics.

I plan on making some shorter brackets out of some 3/16 stainless steel stock this week and replace the aluminum.

My only wish is that maybe the brackets that came with the bar were just about 3/4 inch longer to clear the windshield base.  No complaints here though it all looks really nice and the added lights are great. I wanted a good looking high quality bar and this is exactly that
