It's the last step for me to be able to remove the rear case and like the 46mm for the clutch basket, I'm having trouble finding a 32mm deep enough. Also, I'm curious what you used to hold the shaft while loosening that output shaft nut. I haven't removed/ground off the peened over areas on the nut yet but for a quick test I dug out and old u-joint and found one end does fit the spline on the clutch shaft. When needed I could fit a large screwdriver in it to keep the output shaft from turning. I'm open to any suggestions on procedures anyone has used. It doesn't appear I'll have the Wing motor ready to install prior to Inzane which is OK, there's nothing wrong the motor currently installed but have stuff I need to do prior to travel so the Wing engine project is taking a back seat...for now anywat.

Mark cut and welded a socket together with a piece of pipe.

Ross, I have a dime-store welder from Harbor Freight, I don't think it's strong enough to weld something like that. And if someone doesn't know what "dime-store" means, you're just a child.  Grin

A post I had linked to about the sockets.

http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,17228.0.html

There is the one that was made, and ones I found if they are still available.

I see today I can get larger sockets like this from Princess Auto (HF) now, which they didn't have at an affordable price when I need them.
