We had almost two inches of heavy rain Saturday and Sunday, and I was thinkin' that maybe I'd be able to get the beast out for the first ride of the season, now that all that nasty road salt was washed away... Then the temps began to drop, and soon everything was covered with ice. Then, the temps dropped a few more, and it turned to snow
Everything had stopped by 10:00 or so last evening. We were left with about an inch of crusty heavy snow, on top of 1/4" of ice... Then they came

The village snow plows, with their salt spreaders, dropping probably 20lbs of salt, for every 2 feet they traveled... Damn

Now we're back to where we started. White roads, but the white is salt!
More rain tonight and tomorrow, so maybe the temps will stay warm enough that we don't need another application of salt.
Glad ta see ya got some wind Timbr. I'm thinkin' I'm gonna need ta hook up with you two, for another great breakfast, and maybe sooner than the Fall Color Ride
