Ok so I’ve been having this irritating one small drop at a time oil leak from the left valve cover. I took it apart a month ago and thought it was only seeping out at one of the shoulder points where the sealant goes. So I cleaned it up and re sealed it. Another drop of oil today on the rag while cleaning after a ride. No drops ever actually dripped on the floor but eventually it could have.

So, today I installed a new gasket. If this doesn’t work I have to come up with a plan.

Well, it is probably too soon to know for sure but after yesterday’s ride there was no sign of oil after a vigorous try to find oil underneath that valve cover. I’m banking on the answer that it’s finally fixed.

What leak?  Hondas don’t leak oil!

 After giving my Harley buddy a hard time about his Harley leaking on my driveway years ago he stopped over a while back. We were in the garage when he saw under the left side of my Valk a quarter size oil spot. He says "I thought Honda's don't leak oil". They Dont. "What do you call that?" Opps. You got me. Turns out the shift seal started leaking. I fixed it soon after. No evidence now....

Ya, I’ve changed a couple shifter seals. Never seen one leak onto the ground though. Usually more of a seep making a sticky black mess on the block. It’s important to remove all evidence. Lol
