Countdown to InZane XXIII
119 days, 13 hours, 54 minutes, and 12 seconds

122 attendees so far!

Gosh, 122 of my best friends all in one place, looking forward to it.  I was gonna register today but, everytime I check, it seems like it's an even number and I sure don't want to be an odd one.  Wink

But, I promise, I will be registering soon.   2funny

Rams

Ummm, I believe you're an odd one, regardless of your registration number.

Some how, that coming from you makes it all worth while.  Wink

Rams   2funny

I've said it before... if ya open a door, you can expect me to walk through it.

Agreed and fully understood, I knew I was leaving that door open.   What surprised me is how long it took for you to walk through it.  Wink

I thought doing so was better than just typing BUMP.   2funny

I registered but never got a confirmation email or hotel address. How long does it take for the email to show up.

I know this has become almost cliché to say, but check your junk or spam e-mail folders in your e-mail to see if it got mis-characterized...

Okie Dokie, I finally gave in and registered.   Having been harrassed by a few of my closest friends, I just couldn't hold out any longer.   They knew I was going to do it but, simply wanted it done on their terms.   Friends, what ya gonna do............   Roll Eyes  Wink

Thought while I was there, I'd go ahead and volunteer to help staff however I could but, needed to know what the "Schedule of Events" was/is.   I have one other thing I have to do which will require a complete day to do it.   But, since the "Schedule of Events" is still blank, I'm unable to plan.   There are some things I want to be there for.   Like the Dunk Tank!!!

There is still time for me to plan and execute my other priority.

It needs to warm up real soon here in the tundra, I have work to do between now and push-off day; i.e., change the motor in the trike. I plan to get it mechanically working for normal operation first, then if time allows I'll do the electrical part that drives the reverse. If no time, we'll make the trip without. Still need a trailer to haul it but that's not a real issue as yet. Can't wait, especially after my interrupted trip west last year.

OK, just spoke with some of the staff, it's not looking good for the Dunk Tank event but, I believe a compromise may have been reached.   There was an indication that someone might get thrown into the hotel swimming pool if, enough money was donated to the chosen charity.

Just thought those interested should know.   Wink

Upon reflection of "Someone" getting tossed into the pool.   I thought about this last night and although, I have very few issues with it being me getting tossed into the pool, I can see issues with other folks getting tossed.   Some folks might not appreciate the thought or, getting tossed by others into the pool so, with that I am officially withdrawing the suggestion.   Don't want anyone getting hurt or sued over this.

Unfortunately due to upcoming home improvements we will be unable to attend Inzane. It sucks but I have to be home during that time. On the plus side there should be a king room available now. Maybe next year...

It's official, I won't be able to make Inzane this year. My company took over a week of my pto away this from this year because of the time I took off last year fighting cancer. With the time I still have to take off from all that and a family vacation just doesn't leave time available. I hope to see you all (ya'll for some) in 2024. Roanoke was my first Inzane and I was really looking forward to all the riding the area has to offer, and the evening tire kickin, and food and...  Have fun, ride safe and enjoy.

Hmm  Undecided   Well, I've modified the post you replied to.   But, upon further consideration, I'll just delete it.   It was intended as a bump just as this posting is.

I heard staff once say that they would continue to plan and execute InZane as long as folks continued to come.   With only 165 signed up, I have concerns for future Inzanes.

I made the decision a while back that regardless of all the other events I wanted to attend, InZane was the one I most wanted to attend.    We all have to make decisions on which of the numerous events they will attend.   I would urge all to consider where you get the biggest bang for your buck.   For me, it's InZane.   Hope to see all my old friends and meet some new ones in Roanoke.  Wink

190 now. Can we get to 200.
And at 9:00pm it's up to 197. Woohoo!  cooldude

We might end up flying in...a couple reasons: 1) 6+ yrs. ago I had my right hip replaced and the dr. told me at that time he would probably see me again fairly soon for the left side...maybe 5 yrs. It appears he wasn't too far off, some days the pain is enough to make me ill. I was hoping to make it through the summer but doesn't look promising. A long drive may well be out of the picture, time will tell. 2) I need a trailer large enough to haul the trike if I should decide I can drive out. The trike is 5' x 10' so something slightly larger is needed. I'd prefer aluminum due to weight but I've found the biggest drawback is the ramp on many trailers are so short I'd hang up at the bed/ramp junction. Again...time will tell. If we fly out and rent a car, I'd need to borrow a bike or trike from someone so I'd have a shot at the "oldest Valkyrie rider" plaque. Just a short spin around the compound so as to qualify.  Wink

See ya soon!  cooldude

+/- given when you have to depart ect. I’ve got to start looking things over and making preparations for all the little things. A process I’m not good at, one of my many pictures in Websters is right under procrastination!
