I posted this in general, but now am thinking it should be here. Please forgive as it's my first forum post and I'm trying to get my ducks rowed up.
Has anyone replaced their backseat with a rack using the three bolts to hold bags / etc? If so, did you make it yourself or is there a vendor? If I cannot find one, then I'll make one and post pics. Thanks, Mike 1999 Valkyrie / 41K miles and new to me...

At least one vendor used to make these. MC Enterprises, IIRC. There may have been others.
Check Valkyrieparts.de and eBay for used ones. They occasionally show up.

Many have. Hopefully someone who did will tell you where.
On my valks with rear seats I don't bother. I just carry luggage on the pillion when needed and it's available as a seat if wanted.
One of my Valks has a chrome decoration where the rear seat went but it was on there before it was mine.
A search on the net will show a lot of racks meant for Harleys which could be adapted. I had trouble sifting through for one that said it would fit a Valkyrie.

My friend built a rack and I mounted mounted a 5 gallon gas tank on it. I now carry about 15 gallons as I only get around 15 MPG. with my sidecar and tent trailer. I will see if I can find a picture and link it.

even with shipping costs of $60, it’s still only $140.

While those curved racks look good, a flat rack mounted futher back is more practical. It makes it easier to swing your leg over the bike when the passenger area is clear of junk.

I have two one them. One, N-I-B. It'll probably go on a future build. Thinking about reprising Blondie's 2003 Standard and adding bits of the first Tourer I had to the concept. Including the rack. The original rack (which I occasionally ran on my first Tourer) was powdercoated gloss black to go on my I/S when it's run in Supervalk mode. I turned my second Tourer into an I/S (sans the dual headlight fairing) and its trunk and passenger seat are pretty much there for the duration. Thus, I need to find another bike to bolt the second rack onto.

I just put one of these on my bike this year, as previously mentioned excellent build quality. It took about a month to get here but that's not bad. Also installed a cruiser bar from Big Bike Things.

Sidecar-Where is the gas from the aux. tank fed to? The stock tank, carb. fuel line, or the belly tank?

The Aux fuel line goes to a tee to connect with the fuel line from the right saddlebag (there is a lever at the tee to pick which to draw fuel from.) The line from the tee goes to another tee under the tank that connects to the tank and then to the carbs. There is a fuel pump for the tank in the saddle bag. Turning off the fuel tank and the Aux tank tee turns off everything. I use the Aux tank first and then go to the main tank and use the three gallon saddlebag tank as my reserve. It may seem like a lot of work but I have never gotten better than 19MPG so it is necessary. The Aux tank is from Speedway and is 5 gallons.
