I was just told that HayHauler (Jimmy Turner) has been in a crash with broken ribs and a concussion.

Would someone closer to Jimmy (physically) let us know details and condition?

To quote Jimmy, "Helmet and jacket did their jobs."   He also said "Ribs SUCK!"

He's going to be sore for a while, but expects to go home sometime tomorrow.

No word about the bike, yet.

Edit: other than to report that the crank seal repair he and Hotglue had done the previous weekend seemed to have been successful...

I'm not gonna lie, 6 broken ribs are no fun.  If you hadn't figured it out yet, your ribs are connected to everything, EVERYTHING.  I am so blessed that God has decided to keep me around for a while longer.
6 ribs are the only injuries i sustained.
Passing slow cars in 3rd gear and hit a patch of gravel, fishtailed and went into the 4 foot ditch.  The bike stopped and I went over the windshield.  20 feet later I landed on my left side ribs, unconsious.   Woke up, took my helmet off and checked all of my extremities, all seemed well.  Couldn't get up on my own due to the ribs.  EMTs were there in minutes and got me onto a board and gurney.  Since I had lost consiousness, they called for the helo.  That was the smoothest ride of the day.
In Herman Hospital they did a full catscan and found a grain of rice sized brain bleed.  6 hours later, they did a second catscan, just of the head area, nad the bleed had not grown.  The neuro guys said i was good to go.
So, 6 ribs broken, but no road rash or any other broken bones, I call a  MIRACLE.
Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers, they mean the world to me.

I can't imagine what 6 broken ribs feels like. ONE (#10 on the left, break was about 1.5 inches from spine) was enough for me - and it took 2.5 - 3 years to heal....

I broke 5 ribs in a crash in 1998.   My biggest problem was taking a dump....ha.   With no rib cage to push against I couldn't go....ha.  I know that sounds Wierd but it was a major problem for a few days there.

Praying for you a speedy recovery!!!

Just got pictures yesterday.  It seems that it is toast.  I was running it without the timing cover after HotGlue and i replaced the crank seal to make sure the leak was fixed.  Looking at the pictures,  one of the belts is broken,  most likely causing internal damage. I am sure the plastic damage will cause the insurance to total it.
Calling them in the morning to see what the next steps are.
Thanks for the prayers and thoughts.
Broken ribs suck  and yes,  bowel movements are tough as well as getting up and back down.
