I guess my final thought on this is that if you really care to prove any hypothesis you need real data.  Otherwise you have no REAL comparisons to work with.
From the info I seen and dyno charts that I have seen it appears to me that the stock system tuned properly can not be improved upon.  You ca make more noise and with extra work and money maybe get back to the stock performance.  Myself, I like the sound of the stock pipes and probably never will use the full hp potential.  The tuning on mine is at about 12.8/1 at the 3k mark, so I don't have any reason to mess with it.
Side jump.  When I had mine dynoed they did a Victory King Pin before mine.  You couldn't hear anything for 50 yards and it blew dust and paper cups all over the place.  Produced (as I remember) about 70+ hp and 65 # torque got to 143 mph.  When we ran the Valk you could stand next to it and talk.  The final talley was 101 hp, 99 # and 137 mph.  Now comparing those numbers it looks like the King Pin would out run the Valk on top end but, I don't believe that it had the power to push that bike in the real world to any where near 140mph.  Not saying that the Valk could actually do 137 either.  That is what the tire rpms said not tires over the pavement.

So you are not really riding equal bikes.

I didn't say we were. I pointed out right up front that my bike is modified and his is not. So what's your point?

That said, I think his 80lb weight advantage more than makes up for the aerodynamic advantage I MIGHT be enjoying which at lower speeds is actually very little if anything.

I bought my Mark T exhaust in the spring of 2003.  I almost bought Viking's system.  However, Mark T's was the ticket for me...no rejetting...plug and play.  At that time I lived in MN and had some guy pull up next to me in Minnetonka, thought a Lambo was hauling ass down HWY 7, instead it was my flat 6.  Eight years,  70K plus miles later and my Mark T exhaust still looks most excellent (though my glass packs may have gotten a tad louder).   Thanks again Mark, for a great product.

Two of my posts have been removed, lets see if this one is also.  Shocked

Yeah, I know what you mean CA. It really smacks of some kind of malevolent paternalism. And chicken besides with no explanation or reason given much less admitting who does it.  I guess if you're not with the "in crowd" there are extra measures of retribution that await you for your digressions.

The Tech Board really isn't the place for this, but I'm going to accommodate you this once.  As to admitting who deletes, 9 times of ten you can assume it's me.  The other moderators are much less active in that regard.  Chicken?  Really?  In crowd?  You, particularly, get away with a lot of crap in your posts and you are certainly not part of anyone's in crowd.  I guess that explanation doesn't hold much water either.

Just an insight into my perspective, if you feel the malevolent paternalism is somehow limiting your potential to be of assistance to the rest of humanity, feel free to take your efforts elsewhere.

I have managed to read it and must admit ... that I agreed with a good portion what you had said!!!  cooldude
The same thing is going on LOL!

Normand, I may have agreed with a good portion of what our friend CA had to say, but he couldn't seem to close the deal without including a personal attack.  On some days I just grow weary of removing the specific offending text and take the easy way of just removing the post.  Our friend made a secoind attempt to express himself and made it to his last line but couldn't resist a little name calling to finish his thought.

I do what I feel I need to do.  It will never please everyone.

Honestly, I think any further efforts to slow the flames on this thread will prove futile and that's a shame because the OP asked a legitimate question to which he should have been able to get reasonable responses and opinions.
