So sorry to hear of your great loss.

Don taught me a whole lot and I will never forget how he would make fun of my lack of mechanical
common sense and then you would help (actually you took pity on me after an hour and
ended up) doing that rear spline servce at the ranch when I stopped by on my way somewhere or other

I have not gotten much better but I curse a bit less now

And who can forget his "10 things I learned on the blue grey, kentucky or whatever rides"

You folks had one of the best  "how we met and got together " stories of any couple I know.

Rest in peace my friend and may his memory always be a blessing to all who knew him   I will have some single malt in his honor later tonight

Looking through some old pictures I found this one of Don.

It's from the Hillbilly Ride where we raised money for the school in Pocahontas, VA.

Don was definitely one of the "Good" guys!

Tracy you and your family are in our prayers.

Please let us know what the arrangements are.

I'm sure that there are those here that would want to attend.

Tracy, We are so sorry to hear this.  Several of us were talking about you and Don in Sparta a couple weeks ago. One of my most memorable rides was with Don, Joe, Gordan, Charlie Mac, and Big Eric on the Hillbilly scouting ride in Franklin Wv. in February 2011. Keith and Jane.

Thank You all , doing  it all alone  was a  very rough go..

Today was semi hard  day.
Had  to go to the  FP. And  drop off the  things  I  wanted cremated with him.
I  did  get to see his  shell one last time. Did  my thing  with tobacco prayers ,smudge him .
And  so on...

he never  wanted anyone  to know what was going on .

Maybe  I'll tell about it soon.. Or  not ...

Thank You all ...
It has  now  been a  week since  Don crossed over. Cry
He did not want anyone  to know that he was ill.
That was  his wish.
Picked Don's ashes up on Wednesday.
I was truly blessed to have  our dear mate go with me ..
And  had  helped me get the farm ready for  winter.
A few  more mates  are  going to help me  some  more.

Thank You for the  cards, and  gifts.
You have  no idea how much that will help out.
Life  is  going  to be very hard.. With winter coming .

Tracy we remember the good times.  My wife Iris and I met you and Don at a Chinese buffet on I-77 when we were staying in Hillsville Va. many years ago.  We rode South toward Mt. Airy and stopped at a greenhouse where you wanted to make a purchase of some sort.  I couldn't keep up with either of you.  So sorry for your loss.
