Closed and started moving in on Nov. 7.  The house has been vacant since April and really needed some cleaning, big thanks to Kevin and Jill Brinker, and Kraig Delker for their help moving in and cleaning.  Also big thanks to the Brinkers for their hospitality putting Kraig Delker and I up during the whole ordeal.  I'm slowly making headway, I got the carpets cleaned, no furniture yet, that is coming with my son Eric on Friday.

I needed to pickup a microwave today, last one at Lowe's.  It was too nice out to drive the cage, so I took the bike.  I got some strange looks in the parking lot while strapping it to the bike.

Here's the house

Three bedrooms, 4 baths.  There is a kitchen in the lower level as well that needs a counter top and some drywall patching.  Room for air mattresses if too many house guests show up.

cooldude Sweet, Congrats on the move. Looks like a great place you picked out. Nice wall out back with a great view too!  smitten Can't figure out those that like to stay in cold weather. My cousin just moved to MN last year. I know it's pretty but just too cold for too long. My bet is she'll be down soon.  cheers

Golly, Gee Whiz!   I just noticed the pool cover/tarp.

Let us know when you are hosting a pool party!

On second thought, just stick with a Valkyrie get together, some of us are better looking with all our clothes on.  Wink

Just checked, 175 miles +/- from Richmond. Secondary roads about 195 miles and adds over an hour of travel time. It would be worth it to not have to deal with I 75!

very nice, more bathroom than bedrooms though seem overkill.  I guess never can have too many poddies, just in case?

No idea how we lived with 1 small 5x8 bathroom, but we managed somehow growing up.

never understood owning 2 very nice places so far away, but am sure the wife will eventually come to her senses and prefer TN.   Am looking for a shack up north but anything over 150K is not going to happen and if under 100K,  most are not worth buying and the misses prefers indoor plumbing.  LOL  2funny

I'm half Texan, does that help?

I don't consider you to be a Yankee.

Actually, everyone that I know from Michigan might sound like a Yankee but they don't act like one.

No room at the inn? Bummer we had our eyes on Tennessee a possibility for relocation when it’s time. We’ll see what happen when it’s time for a more serious investigation, right now I’ll just keep looking through Zillow.

Actually, everyone that I know from Michigan might sound like a Yankee but they don't act like one.
...

Michigan supplied almost 100,000 union troops during the war between the States.  That amounted to about 25% of the male population.

Just an observation, but a large percentage of the Southern population today are descended from northerners who migrated south.

It is likely that very few of Michigan's population are Southerners who migrated north.  I'm pretty sure Michiganders are Yankees.   Wink

I've only lived in MICHIGAN for 40 years, I'm a Pittsburgher.  Still north of the Masie-Dixie, but I'm from the south hills of Pittsburgh, so I consider myself a southerner.
