Speedo and Tach lighting isn't enough for me to see at night. Can the bulbs  be upgraded or at least changed ?

I get all my LEDs from SuperBrightLEDs... great folks out in MO.

I used these so the light is more diffused and doesn't blow out the indicator.

they are very overpriced compared to amazon and ebay for same bulbs. my ebay ones have lasted longer than the superbright ones.

I wonder if I could use one in my Ram Promaster 2500.

In daylight, the (hooded) gauges are so dim, I have a hard time reading my speedo.

I will not be tearing off the dash.  Dealer job.  (I bet this is something they've heard of many times)

Whatever...

But whatever cheap crap you want, I'll support a small US based company.
And all my bulbs are still fine 5 yrs on...

Rather than assuming which type you're talking about, you might wish to include your ride model/year in your profile.

The downside to ordering from SuperBright (or any online vender) is that shipping will nearly double the cost of these little lights if the two lights are all you need.  I'm not dissing SuperBright (I've ordered plenty from them), it's just the nature of the beast.

I installed LED dash lights shortly after the 2012 InZane that was in Eureka Springs, AR.  I had a blowout on the Tach (right) side during the trip and ended up replaced the little incandescent in the hotel parking lot.  No big deal, but I figured I needed an upgrade.

LED's were kinda a novelty at that time, but I found them at my local auto parts store.  I know I paid a small fortune for them, but here we are nearly 12 years later and those LED's are still working fine...I think they're Sylvania.

Anyway, you can most likely find these dashboard LED's at any auto parts store.  They may be slightly more than what you'll pay online before shipping, but you'll have them today.  Plus, I'd be willin' to bet a nickel that they're way better than the ones I installed 12 years ago at a fraction of the cost.

I like my LEDl lights in my gauges however, I had to try three different bulbs before I found the one I liked.

This is the bulb from super bright and I will add a picture of the gauge lit up

Speedo bulb burned out last yr on my way home from DRU in Madison Ind. Just checked Superbright website for shipping to Canada. $36 (almost $50 Cdn!) plus brokerage. Guess I'll have to check Amazon for comparable!

Yes, like I said the third one was the charm. Like Goldilocks lol. First one way too bright. Second one only lit up half the gauge. The 360 degree one I posted was just right. Not bright enough to be a distraction or mess with night vision but clearly visible for the whole gauge.
