Wherever I may roam
Won't turn over

So I lost my key down an elevator shaft the other day. To get home I cut the ignition wires, wrapped them all together and drove home. No issues. The next day, I wired in a button in place of the ignition and I get power to the bike, but the start button doesn't do anything. Starter solenoid relay was my first thought l, but I tried a replacement and it didnt work either. The original relay tested fine. The bank solenoid test fine. But I have no power to the start button still. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I had no electrical issues until the lost key.

I'd just order a replacement; either the key, or the whole lock $et. Guessing you didn't write down the key number, so ordering just that may not be possible. The key that came with mine was a replacement type (no number), so I had another made and keep it on the ring in my pocket, just for such an occasion.
Perhaps a dealer can look up the key code, using the VIN.

Stupid question, did you check the kill switch? Try with the kickstand up and clutch lever in? Sometimes it’s the simplest thing that may slip your mind.

Redo, double check the improvised wiring. Obviously you missed something
