I just might be confused

from this page http://www.valkyrieriders.com/tx/

you click on the calendar link and get this page http://www.my.calendars.net/dfwvrcc

which is a confusing page because it says 2006 at the top, maybe this is where events are posted and there is just nothing there

but the calendar link at the top of the forum takes you to this page where all the birthdays are posted but still no events posted,

Not really meaning to hijack thread, but how does one get something on the calendar?

I never saw the Mid-Winter Gathering listed and could not figure out how to edit it and add something.

I think what he refers to is when you click on the link, the web address shows DFWVRCC, the top of the page shows 2006 Texas VRCC, and further down it shows 2010.

Hey Early Bird,

Sounds like a large time was had by all at the gathering.
Wish I could have made it....maybe next year

I'm not the calender expert, but I have entered things before.

From this link
http://www.my.calendars.net/dfwvrcc

The third line down from the top:
Add Events: Daily     Duration  Periodic

Click on one of these depending on what type of event it is.

On the next screen click on create.

This will bring up a screen where you enter what and when.

Not the easiest thing in the world but it does work.

If you run into any problems let me know and I'll try to get you through it.

That's the one the DFW VRCC is using...

That IS confusing for sure...I don't think I can change it...I've never had the admin password for that calendar (it's a 3rd party service).

That's the nationall VRCC forum calendar.

We're all using it, as RainMaker opened that up to "all Texas" a few years ago.  It's not used as much as it ought to be (and I'm guilty of that as well).  I'll try to post a tutorial on how to put things on the calendar.  That way, we can update it better.

As for the password, Daniel, there's a slim possibility that I have been given that.  I'll look and get back to you.

when  i went there just now, it is current. I just don't think anyone posts there, they just put it on the board. Do we have a secretary for our chapter? maybe they could post stuff. I have posted things there before(no problem) but nobody goes there. good places for events is suds and butterfly website(sign up for weekly email there) or lets ride.  cooldude
