I'm 6'4" and the standard Tourer windshield was not tall enough, so I replaced it with a Rifle, which they will custom make to any height for you. I chose their largest size, which is also considerably wider than a standard Tourer windshield, which is why I mention it. To give you an idea, it completely covers the turn signals. They give you the option to cut out for the turn signals, but I chose not to because I wanted to block as much air as possible. The best solution for you is probably an outfit in Canada that sells clamp-on side extensions (
www.cyclemore.com) that would comes out far enough to push the air around your hands. At least they do with my windshield).
Re. your board/shifter request, several years ago, I bought a MC Enterprises set like the ones going on ebay for $379 from JC Whitney (JCW has since discontinued them, however). I put them on the bike, rode around the block, and immediately removed them. They've been in a bag in the garage ever since. The problem for me was my height. With a 36" inseam, I had to scrunch my legs up so much to use the shifter that it was uncomfortable. If you are interested, I'll sell the complete kit for $100 under the ebay price. However, if you are tall like me I would not recommend it.
