I installed an Audiovox cruise control on my 2001 I/S.  Just got it buttoned back up, did not want to start. I also installed a Dan-Marc electric fuel valve. Also the cruise to a coil for speed input. I spliced the hot feed for the Dan-Marc to the coil wire as stated in the instructions, so as to only turn on when running.

Did not run right when I got it started.  The rear cylinder on each side has a cold exhaust, while the front two on each side are hot.  Did I hook up to the wrong wire?  Am I bleeding off enough current to stop that coil from firing?  Does one coil fire those two cylinders?

I may have to take the tank off, and run that wire just to a switched source?

Thanks.

I can tell you the rear cyclinders are fired from the same coil.  I'm away from home but a quick search brought up this dan-marc install tips.

Did you connect to the black white wire? Make sure the contacts on the coil were cleaned if you pulled off the leads.

If you front four are firing the fuel valve is energized you may have just knocked the wire off the coil.

Not much help but it is a start point for you.

I am pretty sure it was the black white wire.  It is the rear coil.  Maybe by taking out the bolts for the bracket they are on, I can get my fingers up there, and wiggle the wires on the top of the coil around some.  Otherwise it is take the tank, etc. back off again!

Got up in there.  The wire had come off the spade on top of the coil, put it back on, and runs perfect!
Thank you!
