Just the fact that you're up and banging away at the computer is a great sign.

Having gone through it all that I can tell you is that the healing process is just that....a process.  There are no short cuts and if you try to push it you will undo all of the good work that your doctors have done for you.

So be a good boy and do as you're told.  Kill the butts, chill with the beers, and stay off the bike for a while and you will be fine.  Fight it and you will be right back where you are now....JMHO.

Get well....love ya man,

Paul

First let me say " Thank You " for the thought's, prayer's and well wishes from y'all.I'm still in the hospital with no get out in sight   Cry   I blew out a lung and did'nt even know it..I knew something was wrong and after tryin' to fight it and make it go away for over a week I knew I needed help.I came to the hospital monday evening and was told I was very lucky I was'nt dead  Cry I've had a tube in my lung since monday and under-went emergency surgery yesterday for over 5 hours. The pain is intence and the drugs are starting to hurt as well...I hope I get out of here alive.

From time to time we are delt a crummy hand, then with persistance and determination, it gets better. I was suddenly scarey ill in 1994 followed by a long and delicate 6 hr operation. Ten months later it was two-up, all over the USA on the Dragon ! I've never shared the twisty slab with you and it will be my pleasure when we do just that. I will be on  this board each day checking on your progress....you will be fine and I'll be cheering for you all the way...  Grin.....Skeeter (Va)

Hi Joe....you know we was talking tonight at dinner and I was saying I really don't know why I'm on this earth, but I received a answer to the question..... from someone smarter then me, and it was to be at a certain place and meet certain people to help them along in their life. Some people you know and some are strangers. Even though we don't realize what it is that we're doing or even know we're doing it. Their is a master plan for all of us, we may never know the reasons but beleive me we are here for them. It could be some of the smallest things you do or make happen, but without you these thing don't get done. It could deep as you can see. Think of all the people in your life who would be lost without you and the people you still need to meet and help along in their quest. Your here for some pretty big things and you still need to do them....

We are wishing you well, prayers from Buffalo NY

Man, any guy that can ride his scooter with a flat lung is too tough to be layed up for long.

Soon as you heal enough to get out from between those walls the time will start to fly by and the healing process will speed up.

Joe, I hate to hear that. Just hang in there do what the Doc' tell you to do and all should be good. Do your breathing exercises. My mom had some lung issues a while back and didn't complete them because it hurt, she still has some troubles and breathing issues. I talked with a Respiratory person and they to,d me it was because she didn't do the exersices the right way. Hopefully you will be out riding in no time.
