Joe, I may try and meet ya'll somewhere - not sure yet. You posted that you are hitting Windsor and Vicksburg on Saturday right? What are the plans? Are you going up to Vicksburg and across to outside Jackson to get on the Trace since mile 1 is right at Natchez or are you backtracking back to Natchez to start the Trace?
I know you know this already, but just want to throw it out. I have ridden the Trace more than I can count but....
Be sure the bikes are gassed up before you get on the Trace if you start in Natchez because there is no gas stations on the trace. If you get on at mile marker 1, it is a good run and all bikes can make north Jackson (by Ross Barnett Reservoir) before they need to fill up. There is an exit on the Trace by the south side of the lake that has a big gas station right there (about 2 miles up the road). But be careful, that is a major road right there, so the traffic is going to be bad especially since it is a holiday. Bikes can make it from there to Tupelo without any problem as well. Be sure to watch the speed - the Rangers will be out in full force I am sure and will give a ticket for just a couple of mph over. I know you know that already.
Also, folks watch out for wildlife. Plenty of deer and turkey on the Trace and even had a bobcat run right in front of me last time when Lyn Del, Wizard, Early Bird and I were going to Tupelo last time.
Anyway, I was just wondering about Friday. If you are going all the way up to Vicksburg, I was wondering if you were going to Superslab over to west of Jackson and get on the Trace there or go all the way back south to Natchez. I may see about meeting ya'll somewhere. Safe winds!!!! One heck of a group of good people signed up already!!!!

Flamingobabe, send me an email with when you think you may be rolling through as well over in Louisiana - I may be able to tail behind you for a ways. There are two good ways to get to Natchez if you are passing through Louisiana. Some nice roads to get there and cut down on some of the Superslab.

Highbinder and Lady Draco are hookin' up with us ( Smokin'joe , Wimp , Hubcap ) thursday in Resaca , Georgia @ The Flying J Travel Cener I-75 exit 320 HWY.136 at 11:30 am (est ) from there its backroads to LA <---I'm not sure of the name of the town we are going to stay thursday night ( maybe Mike or Don will see this a post the town  ) . Hope you make it Warren meet us in Resaca thursday morning or BF Alabama thursday night. I'm guessin' we'll hit Natchez , Mississippi around 1:00 / 2:00 local time friday afternoon...Bring It....LET'S RIDE  |

That is a good ride. I made almost the same way once back from Cheaha. I plan on meeting you guys in Natchez. Well, I haven't gotten permission from Red yet, but she said to ride while I am in...so....
I think I will be meeting with Flamingobabe on Friday and riding up from Louisiana to Natchez with her. Man, I can't wait to see that sweet Spyder of hers - well, that and see that sweet ryder of the spyder.
Safe winds - see ya'll in Natchez. I don't think I will be making the whole ride on Saturday - just want to see everyone on Friday that are coming in. May make part of the ride on Saturday and shoot back home. Not sure yet. I haven't made any hotel reservations yet - shoot haven't even gotten permission yet from Red, but we will see.
