I guess I have been "brain washed". Most times I do not give my Dealer a fair shake. Today they beat the "NET" on two small items by 25 to 30 %.  Roll Eyes I think from now on when I need any thing I will SHOP my local and be up front with prices, then it will be up to him to meet or beat. That said , if he meets or damn close, he has my $$$. I really like keeping my money in my "local" folks pocket.

After I closed out my post I had thoughts of ; damn, I`m not done.
I think if I/We gave the Honda Dealers a fair shake we would be better off in the long run. Think what would happen if ALL dealer`s were out of busness and we had to rely on the over priced / shipping chargers that we have today. Would you like to pay $35.00 for a OEM air filter ? Pay $25.00 for a kick stand spring ? Plus $5 to $10 shipping. I know there a LOT of Dealers that should not be "DEALERS" but we can support the good one`s to our advanage . I think that a lot of Dealers would welcome "some income", verses none.  Roll Eyes SERVICE, that`s another story for another day. Wink

I know of 4 (there may be more) local dealers here in DFW that will match online prices, whether openly or by knowing who to discreetly ask.   cooldude

While there is sales tax to pay, there is no (itemized, at least) shipping cost, and if anything needs to be returned it's much easier than dealing with RMAs and return shipping.

Exactly!!! Usually in 2 days for me. I always use my dealer for OEM parts and usually the internet for aftermarket stuff.
