i like watching the UPS guy drive up and down the road this time of the year. the same driver will make six or seven stops on our street through out the day, you would think that if he had his crap together, he would "sort" his load so that ALL of his stops on that street get dropped off one after the other instead of coming back later on after he finds another package....
That is funny you mention that... probably the fault of the guy who loaded the truck. That's what I used to do at UPS, "Pre-load" which is picking the packages off the conveyor belt for the 3 or 4 package cars (what UPS calls the big brown trucks) I was loading. UPS has a system of "sequence numbers" we had to memorize for each truck, that tell the loader exactly where to put them inside the truck as to avoid driving up and down the same street 12 times.
Almost all of the drivers are decent guys, who work hard, so their trucks got loaded up nice and in sequence. For the complete tools who made your loading life miserable... "other guys" would usually "accidentally" put a few packages someplace else in the truck, so the driver would have to make a little "extra" backtrack to get those ones delivered too
Of course I never took part in that kind of stuff

Can't do it too often as management would catch on... but every couple weeks.... and only to the ones who wanted to be jack-arses about everything.
