I've amended the original post to reflect the date chosen, and a list of those meeting up in morning to ride, and those meeting at the restaurant in Snook at 11am.  If I've put you on the incorrect list,   crazy2   let me know.

Would be kinda' fun to have Steve come from Indiana to the GOTF and have all that confusion going on.  But it might just be too tempting for the rain gods....

Bill,  We're all meeting up at 0800 at the Exxon/McD's at FM1488 @ Hwy290 Bypass in eastern Hempstead.  If you want to ride over with Connie and me, we should be leaving the house around 0700.  I'm planning on riding the route Saturday, to get a handle on the time frame needed.  I don't want to be late arriving at the restaurant, and have RainMaker finish off all the CF Bacon before we get there Cheesy  Wink

April 16 is the MS150 bicycle ride from Houston to Austin.  We just need to make sure to stAy away from their route.  This is what I found online as far as the route.  Looks like it gets close, but depending on the route, we should be fine.

Lookin forward to the ride!

thanks Jimmy  cooldude   The bicycle route is south of where we'll be.  As for the support cars on 290, there's always a lot of cages on 290, so it may not be that unusual   Undecided.  I'll add you and BJ to the list

Maris,  How many more coming with you?   Depending on fog/no fog   Undecided  , KSU needs to be no later than 0900, but a bit earlier would be preferable.   I think getting to the cafe a little early and waiting for them to open, would be better than finding some other group already there and taking up tables we're likely to need.    Undecided   DFW has some folks coming to meet up at the cafe as well, but I don't have a number yet.   We might end up with over two dozen at the cafe.   cooldude   I'm supposed to call Sodolak's and give them a final count several days ahead of our invasion.   Cheesy

Garfield, 5_19 and RainMaker did a test run to Snook today for lunch on the way back from the GOTF.  The bacon was light and crispy.  We just kept eating and eating and they said they MIGHT have some back in stock in around 2 weeks.  Cheesy

That WOULD be the money shot of the whole weekend, but not the calendar shot...no helmets and no luggage allowed..

The shot I got of the flowers has a sign in it, so it isn't calendar material either...  Smiley

Anybody gonna go friday and get a motel in hempsted to be closer to starting point. Denise and I are most likely to do that because of the long way to KSU point and early meeting time. She does best if we preplan and get a good nights rest before riding. cooldude

I don't remember where we stayed last year, but we were surely glad of it.  The fog was so thick we couldn't imagine having to ride all the way from home in it that morning.

Thanks for the reminder -- I've gotta find a place to stay!!
