Capacity is supposedly 50.... That's why we need to be there before they open up, so we can beat the local yokels to the door  Grin

Tomball is basically where I am.  There's several motels in town on SH249.  We're leaving out at 0700, and will be going north on 249 to FM1488 and over to 290.  Connie's lookking for a motel now. Will send PM soon.  GJ

There is a La Quinta up the road from Bobby and I thats not a bad place. It's just west of FM 2978 on FM 1488, and thats about 6 miles up the road from our area. Then in the AM you could come down 2978 to the Exxon at Carraway Lane to meet up. That will be between Bobby and the fire station I'll be at.
To much construction on 1488 to run towards Maganolia near the motel.

Here is the info:
La Quinta Inn & Suites Woodlands Northwest
6930 FM 1488 Rd
Magnolia, TX 77354
(281) 259-1757

Looks good for me now. Said they have a driver for the shift this saturday!  cooldude

Bobby,
What would happen if I showed up anyway? We have had some new developments take place and I may be able to go after all   cooldude.  Track is over for my youngest, they are going to regionals in the 800M relay.  If I leave Snook at 14:00-15:00 I can still be back in Dublin for the ranch rodeo that evening.  Live is good Let's Ride! I am currently planning to meet our friends at 528 and 518 at 0620, and head down 6 to Sugarland to hook up with QOTFU and gang by 0700.  That means leaving Pinebrook about 0600.  Sound good?
Guess I need to pm Maris and make sure that's good with them! ;-)

WOW  Shocked   21 bikes leaving out of Hempstead, and 43 folks eatin' in Snook  cooldude  I never expected this level of interest, but then there's bacon involved, so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised  Wink   Due to the large number, we're going to just about fill the restaurant to capacity.  For this reason, we NEED to get to the restaurant before they open the door at 1100am.  We can't be draggin' in a few at a time over a half hour period, or some other group or locals will take tables. Sad  The cafe doesn't take reservations or hold tables.  Remember, the early bird gets the worm,,,  err bacon.   uglystupid2  They know we're coming, and lookin' forward to our visit.
So when we're in Hempstead at McD's,,, get that Cappacino Latte Grande drunk, and the biscuit eaten, 'cause we're going KSU at 0830  coolsmiley   The first leg is about 90 miles and 2 hours.  The last leg is about 55 miles and a little over an hour.   The weather looks like it's going to be great.  The low in Hempstead Friday night is 44*.  The high temp in the Brenham area will be about 85*  Remember to hydrate before and during the ride.   I've been told my two people that there aren't many Bluebonnets this year.  Too little rain I suppose. Cry  But it's the journey, not the flowers or the bacon ( I can't believe I said that  laugh ) that matters.  Lookin' forward to seeing ya'll in Hempstead Sat morning at 0800hrs.  YeeHawwww 2funny
