studying for what?

Microsoft Windows Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.  Being unemployed now I have to update and sharpen my skills or I will fade into obscurity.  I've got to get up to date on VMWare also.

I was working for a poor company for too long, we haven't upgraded anything in over four years and I am off of the bleeding edge of technology.   Sad

There are a lot more "poor" companies in terms of technology out there than the bleeding edge ones. Most CTOs are conservative - no reason to really upgrade anything if what you have works.

Even while I was at CompUSA "the Technology Store" during it's heyday, we internally used the phrase "we sell technology - we just don't use it".  The main system for purchasing and accounting was ancient JD Edwards stuff.  Then I went to a much smaller company that was running the latest Oracle db and apps.  The last company I worked at had a homegrown system and we were always looking for old servers cheap as they ran everything we had with no problem.

So, your current skills may actually be more valuable than you think.

Prayers for a successful job hunt.

Now back to your originally scheduled topic.

Love this little camera...

Canon Powershot SD880is.  We bought it about 3 years ago and I may buy another one for backup.  I have yet to find another model that has the close-up wide-angle lense and Image Stabilizer (thus the 880"is") that we can slip in the pocket.  It takes wonderful pictures for what it is...  There is another model that does not have image stabilization and I would steer clear of that.
