I've been reading all about the difficulty getting u-joints and thought I should look into it.  Today, riding home from work, I heard a strange noise while accelerating and then a vibration when I let off.  When I got home, I pushed my finger into the boot and rocked back and forth and the joint felt pretty loose.  Cry ANYONE  Smiley have an extra u-joint they could sell to me???? Embarrassed  After a long winter of no riding and just getting the bike out this week, the thought of waiting for Honda to get the u-joint mess figured out doesn't sound very good.  Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!  Let me know and thanks for any and all help!

I tried Half Breed Customs and hopefully will get a call back, she didn't know if they had any left because she received so many calls today.  I figure the Zerk fitting on the other may cause a problem and I'll try Doug on Monday.  Hoping to figure something out ASAP.

"I have located five (5) used u-joint/yokes which fit the 1500 GW and the Valk.  They are at Apex Sports in Colorado Springs.  He is asking $50 each.  He states they are all in "very good condition". "They are all take-offs from Trike installs."  "They may be from a Valk, but most likely from 1500 G/W, as I have only done 4 Valk conversions"  I don't know anything else about the parts or shipping.  Contact info is as follows:  e-mail Doyne Bruner at  doynebruner@gmail.com  with u-joint in the subject line.  Hope this helps somebody out.  Stan"
They are open tomorrow, I think 9AM MDT.  Suggest you send an e-mail and follow up with a phone call tomorrow.  Phone number is 719-475-2437.  Ask for Doyne.  Nobody else in the dealership knows anything about these.  I don't know if he has any left or not.  Good luck.

I wouldn't worry about the zerk fitting.  Grease it up and pull the zerk fitting and replace it with a threaded plug.  Next time you have it out, pull the plug, grease it up and put the plug back in.
